Hey,

My name is Pat, I'm irish and I'm driving a 2001 1.4 Octavia. Yes that is a very small engine for quite a large car, but I'm a student and insurance isn't cheap.

Welcome Pat!

Didn't realise they did a 1.4 octavia. Stick with it, you'll soon be old and insurance will be cheaper :)

Welcome, we all had small insurance friendly cars to begin with.

welcome

hi and welcome to briskoda...

Welcome Pat ,

That 1.4 goes better than most people realise , good motor as a first car , as you say cheap insurance (if thats pos in Ireland) and good to drive. Enjoy and try 1.9tdi next the insurance is not to bad on them despite the engine size:D

Top of the mornin' to ye!! :D

Welcome, enjoy the site,

Ben :)

welcome to Briskoda mate

David

Top o the mornin' to you mon! :D

Never seen the predudice against small but gutsy engines myself. Recently had a Peugeot 407 on hire. It had a 1.6l diesel in it, and we thought it was a low revving but much bigger petrol! ;)
