Those who have fitted sound proofing, have you noticed any difference?

Disclaimer :-

I'm drunk, just got in from a night out so if anyone is offended I apologise in advance and will edit my posts accordingly in the morning.

Hey, what's this net attached to the bottom of the rear half of the shelf, barely visible to the left?

I could use one! never seen this in any spec over here in Greece. Did you add it or was it included?

As for the sound proofing, it is cheap enough to buy but would it make a difference? to my 1.6MPI?

This is a factory option 3U3 (cost only 8 GBP when ordering a new car!) and can not be retrofitted without changing a luggage cover (shelf). Part number of a luggage cover with net is something like 1Z5867769E, but it is not cheap, I think.

Hi Guys,

I have my new Oct II MY2008 1.9Pd and it has the sound proofing.

My new one doesn't have it so I'm having to get it myself. Apparently it's no longer fitted to can't be claimed for.

Huh???

Skimp, skimp, skimp. Begining to see why a Golf GTI costs what it does...

In Russia Skoda vRS is more expensive than Golf V GTi in the same configuration :)

Well I have a 2.0l Elegance, the VIN code indicates it is 2008MY, and I have soundproofing on the underside of the bonnet!

Yeah, enough of 'naked bonnets' lets see some more pornographics pics of this MFD3 you have! ;) :P

You won't like it - It's a right load of rubbish :P

Having seen it last Friday I can confirm it is a right load of rubbish and you will never want one. :weeping:

Agreed, having also had the pleasure of seeing it. So what if its touch screen, plays DVD's, sounds really good, has a 20gb hard drive and finishes the interior off perfectly? Would you really want it, would it make you happy?

Ok, yes it would! :bawl::weeping:

I think anything over and above the Stream MP3 is just simply showing off. As such I'll be over tomorrow to save you from yourself and to take it away with me into safe storage.

My Elegance Combi picked up on Sat has the sound proofing fitted. 1.9TDi

So had anyone ordered one of these under-bonnet heatshields lately? I'm looking at getting one but my dealer says looking at the etka picture, the clips aren't included. Can anyone confirm this or not??

I have to confess, I never got round to it :o

I'll have another search for part codes and put it on my to do list. :)
