That M3 ,fifth gear last night

Featured Replies

Perhaps this explains the lack of indication by BMW drivers........ they're all too busy looking for the indication option in the i-drive menu

CooWeee :D:thumbup:

I agree that they are getting over complicated, a car should be get in and go with a couple of options to keep you happy.

My dad has a 5 series beamer and through the i drive you can make all sorts of adjustments to the climate control, how much air it blows in each area what temperature it is etc. After much effort playing with all these options we still cant get it to work as well as the climatronic on my mk1 octavia in sunlight.

However, it has electric steering adjustment which is great, set of driving and not quite right, a quick movment of a little switch and its as you want. I mean how often do you jump in someone elses car and not adjust the steering and only realise its wrong and you cant see the sppedo after you set off.

They key is keeping things simple and effective, ie traction on/off switch.

All those settings to play with

It took me a nearly a week to get my seat and steering wheel adjusted to suit me... I'd be lost in a car like that :)

I'd be lost in a car like that :)

I wouldn't :D

Clarkson summed it up best about M Cars and iDrive. You'll dial in maximum BHP quickest gearbox setting tape everything down and leave it alone after that. its just nice to know you can play if you want to. i wouldn't say no to the car just cos it had loads of settings. all the more reason to buy it. you'll constantly find new things to do

Id have one without question. In white.

Nice

Think how many people specify Maxidot. How often will they change the settings once they're happy with them? Never probably, but the ability to make those changes appeals.

We're all jackdaws at heart. Ooh shiny buttons!

:iagree: i would have one but only for the drive,i think it just looks a bit bland

im sure the new m3 is a good car but how about this one A REAL M3 now that is a drivers car
