it is not a derv burner so i would suppose anything is possible, especially if it is sporting the 2.0l lump,it took them like a king:D

Nice one

Against the M3, I reckon a chipped one would stand a chance. I had someone in front of me today who was trying to leave me in his dust but he couldn't do it - mine is standard.

Maybe I'm wrong but it looks a little more than just chipped.... Looks like a Devonutopia jobbie from here....

A chipped fabia doing 0-60 in 4secs? rofl indeed!

Now, if we're talking about the 2.0l ... things might be different.

haha dont think so some how, its still derv but it has got a side exit exhaust!!!!

Really? It looked quite professional to me :P:rofl:

What proof do you have to say they cannot stick with an M3? All you need to do is turn off ASR. Forget remapping, you just knock off seconds to your times...

But what if the M3 turns off his traction control as well?

Is that the key to beating an M3? :P

That BMw looks like a 1.1 with an M3 body kit to me :P

Yeah OK, didn't actually check the specs prior to posting - only going against my own experiences - the furby shouldn't really stand a chance.

an M3 of that age does 0-60 in either 5.3 or 5.8 depending on spec so it would take quite a fabia to beat it, not just a remapped one.

A remapped fabia will not keep with an M3 IF its driven right, my octavia could not keep with an M3 when i tried and he was trying and a Fabia couldn't keep with me when he was trying.

Seeing as we're in the mood for posting video of Fabia drag races:

PistonHeads.tv: Skodas do battle

Neither of those Octavias will stick with an M3.

Its more likely to sufficate the M3's engine with a side exit zorst. Rather than a rear one anyway. I think that is the key. ;) Cut off the M3's oxygen supply then it cant go anywhere.

M3 must have got a bad start

Shaun

Or it wasn't an M3 :P

i dont think how much you tune a diesel imo a petrol engine will always be quicker due to the fact its got a larger power band i.e. lets say our furbys are dead after 3.5k tops but a petrol engine will have power till lets say 7250k revs but rolling i think is a different matter as we have power low down so were always good to go :D

Yeah, then straight away after the torque curve runs out of bang, petrols pull away.
