I drove up the M4 tonight in the fast lane on the wrong carriageway (up the westbound heading eastbound) before you all slate me I had offical permission when the old bill got us all to turn round due to the M4 being closed because of a multi vehicle accident (still closed now) Chieveley is rammed so avoid it if you possibly can.

Bet that was a bit surreal!

Ive done the M40 in the fastlane heading up the wrong carriage way on a push bike about 17 years ago on a sponsored bike ride, this was organised before the M40 was opened to the public (up near oxford).

In a similar vein about 20 ish years ago we used the M25 between Leatherhead and Reigate as our 'circuit'. I even used to ride to the start.

Fully sanctioned by the Police and above board for the Surrey League.

haha, i saw an old fella in an invalid carriage going the wrong way up the m4 with the Heddlu in hot persuit near port talbot last year.... he looked amazed that so many people were waving and flashing thier lights at him to say hi
