A Bodge it copy of the Dynatwist....

Featured Replies

Saw the Dynatwist thread for the Furby TDI/VRS and it got me thinking which is very dangerous! So I went out at lunchtime and bought a roll of gaffer tape and a 1m piece of cooker hood ducting... Well I gaffer taped up all the holes on the air scoop attached to the front (which is already modified)and then ditched the piece of tube that connects the scoop to the air filter...... Now the ducting is 100mm in diameter which is a big improvement over the rather tiny tube that is standard and I squashed it into an oblong.... Used a hose clip at the air filter end and that worked well. The scoop however has a rather small outflow so the hose clip was no good so I gaffer taped it on after re-enforecing the end of the ducting with some gaffer tape! Yes I know bodge or what but it works :rofl: Then I put the cool tube over the top just to give the rather flimsy ducting some protection. :o Total cost about

Brilliant Andy :D

Have you seen the SPT website? ;)

Have you considered remodelling the scoop also? If the area of the scoop is so much smaller than your duct, then the flow available will always be limited by that smaller area pipe.

Well Ive given a burn this afternoon, seems more responsive and quicker to pick up but that could all be in my head!!!! Brunters will be the test...... btw cani patent this one????

.... btw can i patent this one????
Of course you can, although to avoid too much embarrassment I suggest you do so in a country which doesn't have its own car industry, eg Lesotho, Burundi or even Nepal.

PS Please don't mention Briskoda in your patent application.

Talking of bodges, Andy, you're more than welcome to admire my bodged cold-air feed - at first glance it looks like a squished tin can stuck behind the lower bumper! :)

And at second glance? :P

... like a squished tin can stuck behind the lower bumper!!

I have something similar on my car and I think Rob was considering it

And at second glance? :P

... like a squished tin can stuck behind the lower bumper!!

I still have the silver grill... maybe I could hide it behind that? :)
