Pd160 & Pipercross filter

Featured Replies

I'm not going to start the argument about the effects of the PD160 intake, it's been done to death on here. But I do have a question.

I fitted both the pd160 air intake and a pipercross filter on Saturday morning, I wasn't expecting to notice much difference, but the car sounds a lot 'gruffer' for want of a better term, a deeper noise, a grumble. Have other people found this or have I done something wrong?

I must admit the pipercross filter was a bit of a bugger, the lid of the air box didn't seem to want to shut easier, I eventually got it sorted.

For info, car is remapped by jabba.

gonna fit my pipercross filter at the weekend, bit of a bugger cos i have to remove my strut brace first but will post up any changes:thumbup:

Don't know about intake, but fitting the pipercross alone did alter note to more of a growl on 1.4TDi - and it runs beautifully; maybe an illusion, but the pull as the turbo comes in is more noticeable. Now clean filter every 5K, it's so easy.
