When pulling out and thanking, just flash right to pull out and it starts the 3 flashes, touch left for 1 flash, and touch right for 3 more right flashes as you finish off the move. Easy !

They are a nice feature but I find the 3 flash thing annoying when I'm trying to thank drivers behind me for letting me join a lane.

(Old skool style of flashing opposite indicators for a thanks. ie overtaking, indicate right, get flashed to pull out, pull out and join lane then once left, once right, once left. If that makes any sense)

Me too if it's dark or a wave of the hand isn't appropriate - much less liable to be misinterpreted too, imho

That's what I've started doing now, saves the whole indecisive driver look

First time I used the hazards to thank someone the girlfriend piped up.. "Has it broken down already?!"
