£110 for one is top dollar for a really good wheel. Were there 4 auctions running in tandem? :confused: This auction is definitely for one wheel only though. Maybe he's just "price-skimming" the market, so the best wheel/s goes for the most amount of dosh, and a whole set of 4 isn't sold cheaply due to one or two bad wheels? Woudl make some economic sense (from someone who has studied business management recently, and passed the exam )

If I understand it right, where there's a single auction for n items, the lowest of the last n prices is the one that is paid by the last n buyers.

So if there's 4 items and the bids are 1,2,3 and 4 pounds from 4 different people, they all get one and pay 1 pound.

In this case there were 4 items and the last 4 bids (from one person saying they wanted 4 items) were all £110, so that one person pays 4x£110.

Of course, as the next highest bidder bid £55, a bid of £56 for 4 wheels would have got them for £224 rather than £440.

i sold all four of mine for 100 only a month ago

I made this mistake bidding for two of four Derren Brown tickets - thankfully so did the other bidder, so they, I and the seller came to a mutually - acceptable arrangement!

Won't be making that mistake again!
