I wanted to ask the people here owning Fabia vRS how much fuel have they put in the tank? I mean have you been able to put much more than stated in the official papers coming with the car? Yesterday, a local tank station tried to f*ck me up with almost two gallons of fuel. My papers state that the thank of a Fabia vRS is 45 liters and they put 52 liters in mine, given that it had at least 5 liters before fueling up...

BTW, 1 gallon is 3,8 liters!

1 imperial gallon (i.e: non-US gallon) is 4.545 litres, not 3.8.

There is a button to the right of the filler cap which lets the air out and you can put more fuel into the expansion tank. Think thats what they might have done

I put 50 / 51 litres in mine yesterday inc. the expansion tank and the low fuel light had only just lit up about 10 miles previously. As mentioned before if you use the expansion tank by holding the switch down when the tank is initially full you can get an extra couple of gallons in there.......

I've managed to get 53 litres in mine, when not paying for my own fuel:D

i ve never been able to fill up with more than 40L before and thats with the trip comp. displaying 10 miles left of fuel! i think they gave me a mini fuel tank :-(

saying that i only seem to get 375 miles to 40L not good!

Routinely perfom the 'nipple tweek' and manage to get 50+ litres in, Only down side is it's more painful paying for the extra diesel pumped, But fewer trips to the filling station!

If you tweak the nipple regularly,you'll last much longer before running out of juice.

i've got in just over 53 litres , i reckon 54 or 55 litres is possible as my tank wasn't totally empty when i filled up

its a bit expensive to put that much in now though

50+ Literes seems mad!

Most I have ever been able to put in is 39 and that's running on 'fumes' for a good 30 miles, trip computer displaying 5 miles to run...

On that, however I normally get an easy 400 Miles...

So different size tanks in different countries ?

Actually the people at the gas station ( :gay: ) may not have lied to me. They never said they did the valve thingey though. I will continue my investigation on this!
