Huge fuel savings??????

Featured Replies

Anyone tried the ctech 3000 (www.ctech3000.com). Does it work? Or to good to be true?

It's one way of attacking the problem...the other would be to get your car tuned up so it wasn't putting too much fuel into the engine...

Rob.

Interesting - as such gismos usually are. The ad invites readers to have a look at some of the articles written about the C-tech3000. The first of those is an article published in motoring-uk.co.uk, the source of which is Frank PR. (I assume that means it is a PR-sourced press release). Dr. Griffiths BSc, PhD, CChem, FRSC, MICorr is mentioned in that release as endorsing the device. A Google search for Dr Griffith's name resulted in just one hit, namely a letter here written by him in 1994 which he ends by mentioning the advantages of the FuelSaver device (as currently advertised in the UK as offering around 18% better fuel economy). Other articles mention that the C-tech3000 is now on sale (an endorsement of sorts, I suppose); there are number of scanned newspaper/magazine articles in jpg format which are unreadable on my 19" monitor;............and then I lost interest.

With my limited IQ I would find it very difficult to choose between those 2 space-age technology devices so I think I will pass on both and buy some sweets instead. :)

Wow, I've just read the "How C-tech works" and "Why C-tech works" on the website.

It appears that all the major engine designers have been wasting their time working on their highly complex lean-burn technologies. Stratified charge? Forget it! Direct injection? Don't bother! Atkinson Cycle? Stick to the Atkinson Diet!

NO! All you need is to inject some bubbly snake oil^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H catalyst into the engine! I'm convinced!! Sign me up now!!!

2 issues for me:

1. It claims to work by introducing traces of platinum and rhodium into the combustion process. These are not cheap elements. The kit costs

It uses vacuum to introduce the "catalyst" - so useless for forced induction engines.
But apparently works well if you happen to still own an Austin Princess...

Does it use a dual cyclone vacuum or if it's on a princess does it have to use a dust bag?
