Pictures of a recent R8 crash, thought about whether or not to post this as the driver unfortunately didnt survive but as its abroad I thought I would as a reminder to some who dont wear seatbelts

Although the cars a mess the drivers compartment is basically still in its original shape, the doors have obviously been opened wide by the rescue crew which perhaps makes it look worse. The driver wasnt wearing a belt according reports, had the driver been wearing a belt Im guessing he stood a good chance of surviving the crash.

It still amazes me that some people don't wear seat belts, even with all today's publicity and safety information.:(

Looks like a nasty accident and commiserations to the drivers family.

As said by Stuart, I would be fairly certain he would have survived that one with the seat belt on. While the LH is a bit bent it is less so than my car that I walked (well crawled) out of and the RH looks pretty intact. :(

I saw a stolen TT crash on the M25 a few years back.

Landed on roof and was flattened to the arches! After seeing that, I'll NEVER get in a TT!

The shell does look to be in (relatively) good shape. Well designed considering the impact speed and the apparant lack of deformation

Yes - if he had buckled up he would stood a better chance of survival.

As has been said, it still astonishes me that people still don't use the bloody seat belts!!

The one thing that infuriates me more than anything else is seeing a car driving along with a child or two jumping about in the back and on one occasion, STANDING between the front seats!!
