Hatch boot length

Featured Replies

Been looking on the internet trying to find this dimension on

the internet, but no such luck...

Does anyone know the total length from the rear of the boot

to the back of the driver's seats (roughly) on the hatchback?

And I don't have those struts behind the rear seats to get

in the way :D

Looking to carry some internal doors that are just over 2m long

and was wondering if they'd fit...

Rob.

I couldn't completely fit a single bed mattress in my Octy estate so I'd imagine you'd have to rest them on the top of the front seat back rests.

Cheers.

Adrian.

I managed to fit a 48" * 18" fishtank into the boot at the weekend with about 8" to spare at either end. It only just fit between the bars at the back though.

Does 1726mm (67.9") sound about right? That figure is in the 09/02 Octavia Brochure.

A-ha! The man with the numbers! :D

That sounds about right considering the car is about 4500mm

long. Now, the doors are 2000mm...looks like I'll be putting

them over the headrest, or pushing my seat right forward!

Thanks all,

Rob.

I have the dimensions of the Fabia in one of the sales brochures. Surely they must be in the Octavia brochures too?

Rob,

If you are interested I came across this fantastic gadget the other day, it was called a "tape measure".

I reckon if you can get hold of one you could find out exactly what the length of your hatch is and it might even be able to give you some measurements that aren't even in the manual.

:rolleyes::D

Indeed, but the cost and effort associated with using a tape measure to find out is a great deal more than asking Denis to have a peek in the brochure! :p

Rob.

Especially if it was raining at the time of the post.

...........and you didn't have to wait 6 days for an answer! :D

Has he grown another foot? :D

Has he grown another foot?

Nope, she's still only got 4. But 6 days is a long time in the life of a dog hence I thought I would re-measure her. (Just making a subtle point here...) :D

PS Any sign of the third pedal?

Nah, still only two. The gear lever's all wrong, as well - I have to push it forward to go backwards, and backwards to go forward.

My boot may have changed size in less than a week?

I guess I should've invested in that parking sensor

:D
