Featured Replies

No contest.....................................................SACHS all the way. But then i would say that as i work for them ;) and have tested them out on my allard tuned ibiza fr tdi before i wrote it off.

Same here

I was running the same conversion as Spanny on my Ibiza PD130 and never had any problems :)

P.s what happened to your car Dan?

Try and find a sach clutch for less than £450 with out fittin, i think you wont be able to

wanna bet ;) see my previous post hehehe

Well if he's vat registered, has a returns policy and liability insurance then you're on to a winner for £25 per hour.

yeah he is vat registered!

its good to know people in the world of motorsport.

The reason i will probaly get a Helix clutch is because thats what he fitted to my step dads evo 4! years back for £700

Thats what happened matey, had 200 yrds or less to slow down from 145 ..... kph ;) to 50 mph otherwise i was a dead man. Hit a van at about 80 ish and then swerved across all 3 lanes, and down an embankment. Game over for the ibiza im afraid to say :(

I did not rate the S3 and was only doing 10 miles a day in it so it had to go

I needed a big boot so that's why I went for the Octy ;)

As you can see for my signature it did not stay standard for long (Only had it 5 months)

Steve

yep he did  its very very nice too, although he also has a mk2 polo 1.0l lol, as the r32 costs too much in fuel.

My mechanic just charged me £250 fo my DMF!!!! Have i been done right over!?!?:mad::mad:

As for the clutch prob, iv got the sachs and find it great, havent had any clutch slip every and i drive (at times) quite hard! But then when driving normally with day to day driving it feels OEM:thumbup:

How? Main stealers quote about £1000 fitted and say that the DMF is a good few hundred of that.

Yup i priced one up a stealers too, 384+vat for the DMF  then 5 hours labour @ £80 per hour labour.

think the total was 940 something, and that was just for the flywheel, no clutch

:o Thats crazy! i paid about £1400 for eibachs, jabba ARB, sachs organic clutch and RB and OEM DMF and that was all parts and fitting!
;) working for a manufacturer has its perks ;) shocks, dmf, race clutches, race suspensions, power steering pumps, racks, steering and suspension parts etc etc ;) i get them all at what we buy them from germany. Any place that sells SACHS stuff in the UK will have passed through our doors at one point or another ;) of course each time it passes hands, people need to add there mark ups onto things.
