CHASSIS

1. Spax coilovers - has anyone used these? are they good? what do you recommend?

2. Front anti-roll bar upgrades? which one is best?

3. Rear anti-roll bar upgrades? ive found a 28mm one? are they any good?

4. Short shifter

any other parts you recommend??????????

any help will be greatly appreciated especially in regards with the re-maps because i dont want my car breaking down all the time.

Thank You :)

Most of this has been covered many times, it might pay you to use the sites search facility to answer many of your questions reosnably quickly

I must say..why are you planning all these mods, when you hav'nt even driven the car.Why not drive it for a bit (they are really quite good standard) then go down the normal route of decent panel filter remap new d/v etc. But if you have lots of money to throw around how about thowing some this way,Christmas round the corner an all that lol.

Enjoy your new mota if you get it on sat.

Get the suspension and brakes sorted before doing all the rest and you will see that you already have a fast car that will then handle as it should, then, if you want to map it etc, you have the platform to work from.

I have KW3 coilovers, which together with a Neuspeed 28mm rear arb, give terrific handling.

Mind you a few other mods to other parts of the car as well.....LOL

i want a 28mm rear arb but the kw3 coilovers are way out of my budget.

i would like some if anyone knows of any for sale second hand?

if not 500 quid is the max i will spend, and that will be on spax adjustables. there height, damping adjustable so should be good. i had fk's on my c2 and would not recommend them at all

:)

Now, I'm not at all up to date with the latest tuning scene, but

2. Neuspeed cool thermostat

3. Neuspeed cool fan switch

5. Magnetic Drain plug

6. Engine torque damper

What are these and what benefit would they give over standard? You've also not listed the DV, which is generally seen as being a weak point on modified vRS's.

Do a search on spax on here and see if you get any hits... if you don't you will most likely be the first, or they won't work at all. Investigate before you part with your hard earned

What's a Engine torque damper?

Is it a clamp on a boost hose.

Yep, a clamp on a boost hose which somehow reduces wheel hop and engine movement.

Of course 4 wheel drive is the best solution :):)

If you find some knackered KW 3's you can send them back to KW for refurb at I think its £45 a strut, Its a very cheap way of getting some KW 3's. Ive tried KW 2's & Im currently running 3's & IMO they are definately worth the extra money. NOTE the refurb service may only available for KW3's.

So basically doesn't do anything that a lighter right foot or the ASR won't?

when i first bought mine i had all these aspirations of changing bits and tuning it up....

but after driving the car i realised it was already perfect. awwwwwww

So what you're saying iiiissss!

A 4x4 system acts as a engine torque damper, this is what i've been saying for ages. I hate being this right all the time.

Personally, I'd expect 4wd to agravate engine shunt compared with 2wd using otherwise the same driveline.

This does not mean that it will not help traction.
