Featured Replies

After asking the question to Skoda UK, here's the reply.

Dear Mr Stoodley

Thank you for your email.

I am pleased to learn that you are a keen supporter of the Skoda brand, especially the Fabia vRS model.

I can advise that currently, there are no plans to produce a new version of the Skoda Fabia vRS model.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us.

Yours sincerely

Unbelievable!!!!!!

How can they say that?

Did the cleaner read the email and reply for a laugh??

I suspect if you sent them 100 e-mails you'd have an equal split of yes, no and dunno answers

Chris

Like Skoda UK would reveal the new vRS model to Joe Public anyway.....

"Yes Mr Stoodley we're very glad you asked, the new vRS will be arriving in March 2009 and have a 4.2L V8 engine and 4WD...."

I think not.

It's the same as Audi having absolutely no plans for an Audi TT RS :P

I'm sure they will know when skoda fabia sales go down that they will need to release a vrs, I'm not being fobbed off with the sport model through even through it looks quite nice I think Skoda will lose a lot of customers if tey don't. Min looking at the new Fabia the new vrs would have to be something special.

Chances are they won't do a new Fabia vRS as the last one was a complete flop

At the latest dealers convention in Skoda CZECH

They awaitied with baited breath of the announcement of the VRS as dealers are desperate for them

They announced the SPORT Though the VRS is for post apr 2009

so a while to wait yet

Missed a 4K SE last week

The guy had to get rid as had urgent need for an estate, ended up four people arguing on the forecourt

(not advertised just drive past as it had only been put there two hours previously) meanwhile whilst argument was going on someone placed a cash deposit, and the argument was fruitless but well over the odds

I have put my name in the hat for the next poor soul who has to get rid but will not enter a buying frenzy

They said exactly the same about the mk2 Octavia vRS, and even the mk1 Fabia vRS when the octy mk1 came out. So dont believe what you read in an email.

Obviously I don't believe everything, but you'd think that Skoda UK would have kept thier loyal customers waiting for a 'proper' decision to be announced cos' let's face it, there may be some who will not be bothered for the wait and look elswhere. Doesn't make sense to me.

if you really want one why not get the sport lowered and chipped up?

apart from coming from the factory already done, is there really going to be much difference?

Hmmm I e-mailed SUK to see what they had to say for themselves :)
