tee hee Davy i just wanted something different to reflect my personality

nice motor, enjoy...............

Congratulations on finding a car :)

Without wanting to ruin your moment, I would check the panel gap on the bumper/front wing between the light/wheel arch carefully as the one in the pic looks slightly misaligned and as if it gets narrower.

If this is the case then ask the seller if the car has had any accident damage as if he says no at least you have some for of comeback.

I would also want to see the log book/service records for the car as that steering wheel looks very shiny for a car with only 40'000 miles on it.

Hopefully I'm all wrong and you've got yourself a winner, but better to check than be ripped off :)

Well I hope you enjoy it mate, I've had mine 3 months, yes it gets filthy a lot but I just love the colour and it so unique in my area.

I'm usually a change a car every year to two years but don't think I'm going to get too bored of this one, still have a smile on my face every day.

I have seen the log book and service book from the dealer and its got full skoda service history on it.

As for that panel gap i am not sure if thats the quality of the picon the website as the massive high rez photos ive got dont show this bit.

I have spoken to the dealer though and will double check on Saturday

That's a good price mate - you've got a lot of car for your money there! I paid 9k for my 54 plate vRS about 6 months ago!

Congratulations!

Wish I could've got mine for your price!

Cheezemonkhai: the steering wheel's more than likely been polished, they did it on mine and it felt horrible. Give it a couple of hundred miles and it'll rub off.

Quite possibly, but I was just saying as it never pays to be too careful. That goes doubly with second hand car salespersons.

Good choice, excellent price.

Doesn't give much hope to us 'private sellers' in the new year though, I'd be reluctant to let mine go for that..... and it's older!!

Go the Bananas. :)

proves you can get a nice vRS at a decent price now too :)

you didn't buy this car..........you stole it:eek:

here lies the lesson to everyone, have a budget and stick to it no matter what, let the first ones go if they won't budge on price,as charlie has proved, you will get one at the right price in the end.Good result mate enjoy it,and please tell me you havn't got fk coilovers.

If that's the one that had been up for £6900 at the dealers, good deal! :) .

What options does it have? ISTR you said cruise (which is nice).

Lol I must admit the guys at the dealership have been fantastic and yes this is the car that has been advertised previously at £6995. It has been hard sticking to the budget as there were good cars over what I can afford - but having done a little bit of a stint in the car trade I knew roughly the sort of margins they were working on which has paid off.

they are taxing the car for me and I will put my new plate on as soon as it comes back from retention at the DVLA :)

Ive got prices on a few sets of coilovers - FK, Eibach, KW V1 Coilovers

open to suggestions from you lovely ppl

steer well clear of fk's,the others in your list would be fine, with the kw's being a proper quality piece of kit,at a price:thumbup:

Hard to believe the prices of these things now. I paid £8400 for my 04 plate in January, but then it did have 29k on the clock.

Looks like an excellent purchase mate anyway, congratulations. You don't see many yellow ones round our way so I think it's nice some one's bought something slightly different. I'm regretting buying a silver one I've got to admit. Rather have got a red one I think. Not sure yellow would've gone down well with the missus...... :D

everyone knows for an absolute FACT that race blue is the best without question, followed by what ever colour you good people own;)

lol i love a good colour debate :) roll on Saturday

The blue ones look luurvely when cleaned up and shining....makes the whole polishing process worthwhile IMO, deep colours like that.

Yellow is a cheeky colour that show's you're a little bit crazy/ extrovert. :D

What you want is a yellow one with a really sooty ar5e end from a horrendously aggressive remap, Octy 17's, 312's, a bright green Jabba RARB, a red Seat strut brace, yellow custom leather from the Seat Surgeons (I've seen it done) and lots of wierd colour coded interior bits. :D :D
