LMAO. Sorry mate, forgot you were as mad as a fish. :D

Colour coded side strips are clearly a performance enhancement. ;)

You're all talking a load of rubbish. :P

Everyone knows the black ones, caked in crap are the best.*

*the fact mine is black and caked in crap has nothing to do with this view :D

it helps reduce drag,if you go out and check yours they arn't smooth,so now mine are it is more aerodynamic i think you will find, plus they were painted in go faster paint(you know after the rolling road sesh it is proven that race blue is worth 20bhp)so i beg to differ,it is a performance mod;)

Ha ha ha, excellent. :D

You crack me up.

Funnily enough, I totally agree :D

come on i proved it,don't tell me i have to drag the dyno sheet up AGAIN i think people may be bored of looking at it:rofl:

race blue = 20bhp and 35ft lbs

dyno proven,oh and a pd160 intake;)

lol @ 20bhp race blue paint performance mod :) we used to say this about red cars that because they were a flat colour they weighed less

Lots of posts already today. Haven't Briskodians got work to do?! You got a v good deal @ £6400. I thought we did OK last month @ £8450 privately for a July 05 in red but it was only 13,000 miles. Had to go 250 miles up to Darlington to buy.

Before you put the kw's on (presume you mean shocks as well as springs), I would like to know how you find the understeer/oversteer balance for a standard car on standard tyre pressures - see my post on pressures.

happy now:P

Better :P

I always wondered why my vrs is quicker than all the other ones i see on the road.

Now i can see its down to me not having any side strips at all :P That and the colour coded grill must add to the power :D

Back on topic, thats a good deal you got there

Not many yellow ones about, i have a black one and i wish id got either yellow or red instead :(

Work what would that be then??:rofl:

Skodaboy. If you kicked off in 1983 you still have a good few years to go before you join the ranks of the busy but happy retired old boys.

Well done on a great buy...... You'll love it i'm sure. The mrs hates yellow cars but now wishes she'd got a yellow vRS instead of the silver!!!!!:eek::eek:

Is it the car you posted about where the dealer was bringing it up from another dealership???

Cheers

Dave.

Heya Dave

Yeah my personality is a bit bubbly so need a car that reflects that

Its not the one mentioned on t'other thread - the dealer wouldnt meet me on price and I rang this other dealership instead :)

ok you all asked for it so here it is,proof that race blue paint and a pd160 intake is worth 25bhp over stadard(the other standard ones made a little over 130 at the fly on the same rollers on the same sesion)

And have to wash it twice as often :thumbdwn:

Silver is so cool - I wash the car probably every two weeks, the wheels every 'inbetween'.

Try that with any other colour.

And, with that 'regime :D' a nearby neighbour swears I'm washing it every day.

Lol @ washing that doesnt bother me to be honest - you're talking to a woman that spends nigh on 6 - 8 hours of a weekend washing and detailing the car with new products from a friend at a valetting company so to be honest its something i totally enjoy.

Dont know what it is with Silver cars I find them scary
