Has anyone had a standard engine dyno'd?

Featured Replies

Jus wanted to know if anyone has had their engine dyno'd before mapping to c wot the standard power output is.

I've seen many graphs showing massive power hikes with re-mapping.

Would now like to c graphs of engines before re-mapping. Jus to find out how close it is to book figures.

Be it an Octy vRS or Furby vRS.

Cheers

Kenny

My old one was 192

Mine was 185 IIRC,

Graph is on the site, somewhere in the Jabbasport forum i think :)

Mine was 180 :(

My old one was 192

And out of interest, what was the taxi giving prior to the SDi remap? :rubchin:

One of the benefits of a custom re-map is that ref data is taken of the car running a std map. Tuners like Jabba for example do this as a matter of course. My Octy vRS was 195bhp standard.

According to the dyno plot , my (non-vRS) 1.8T was producing 162 BHP before being Jabba'd.

164.6 bhp (ie +14.6 bhp) before remap. :)

before my Jabba Re-map it was running 189 bhp showing just over 10,000 miles on the clock.

Mine was 193 bhp on 97 ron fuel (after about 24K miles)

Mine was 164 which would have been disappointing for a vRS but not a 150bhp 4x4.

Now 220 ish. As usual, 10-15% extra isn't uncommon for VAG engines

my fabia vRS (TDI130) was 149.2bhp on rollers that people were complaining were giving low results :D

70 bhp and 100 lb/ft, so up 2 on each of the book figures for my new one ;)

Damn.. i didnt know N/A remapping technology had come so far so quickly!!

Mine was 180.1 but only had 2500 miles on it when it was chipped.

Was 191bhp with ABD CAI & LAN and ABD TIP

Mine was completely unmolested for the 192 figure, it was my first ever remap and no other mods were fitted.

Likewise for my figure
