Well, that would be nice.

Each cabin has 2 double beds and 2 twin bed rooms.... So, in an ideal world we would want there to be 6 couples going, and 6 others. At the moment, my spreadsheet is saying only 4 couples are going.... (Southpaw! Answer your PM asking you about the identity of your companion for the trip :P :D )

That one person would ideally be a SWMBO of someone who is currently going solo. But I'm actually hoping the double beds pull apart to make twins. :)

What about a "Is Single?" column?

What about a "Is Single?" column?

I have colour coded those who are taking along someone who they would perhaps not want to sleep that closely to. ;) and those who aren't fussed thanks to being married for a fair while. People going solo like myself will end up being put with other people in twin rooms at my discretion. :D

Pfft! lol

Oh, and just so everyone coming knows, the theme of this trip is RELAX! There is no itinerary beyond the ferries that need catching. Last time I went only 2 sets of keys per cabin were issued. I'm going to try and sort out 4 per cabin so there's more flexibility and less reliance on others.

Two days are spent at the Ring, but people can come and go as they see fit. I might to try to bag some time in the pool on the final full day there - especially if I've used all my laps.

PLEASE EVERYONE - REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR OWN BEDDING! THAT MEANS A BED SHEET AND PILLOWS/DUVETS (or sleeping bags if easier)

Ahem, not much else to say. :)

SWMBO won't go with me :(

She doesn't like going fast... and complains that my car is "loud"... women

Im sure you will all have fun :) the ring is awesome

Do we need to throw a checklist together of things we need to have - i.e legal requirements?

I could blatantly steel PostmanPats from his thread

What the hell is an E111 or a green card anyway?

Feel free :)

E111 old name or form ref no, for european health insurance card available from post office.

Green Card is a certificate of motor insurance required by some countries in addition to a regular certificate.

I will cobble something together. :)

E111/EHIC and motor cover in EU is essential. Cover for going round the Ring is optional and at participant's risk. :)

Sounds like you need to change SWMBO not the car. :P:D:rofl:

What sort of motor cover though? Isn't that covered on your own insurance policy; I'm covered to drive in Europe on mine.

I'm quite happy with both car and SWMBO cheers :D

The Green Card System : Directgov - Motoring

'Within the countries where frontier inspection is no longer required, the Green Card is still the insurance document most readily recognized and understood by national police forces. As you may need to produce evidence of insurance other than at a border ie after an accident, you may consider it advisable to carry a Green Card to avoid any inconvenience.'

So not legaly needed in Germany, however if you get stopped by a non english reading/speaking officer then a green card could make things quicker/easier than waving an English insurance certificate under is nose :) Most insurance companies will provide one for a small admin fee in anycase hth

They do. There weren't any double beds. It was twins together and twins apart

Twins together would be fine with me

Got you down for a twin room.

Centre Parcs have told me I can only have 2 sets of keys per cabin, so basically each cabin each morning is going to have to decide what they're doing and who gets the keys.... Could be fun. Last time I went I locked two guys inside the cabin thinking it was empty.

Twin together for us

Jason will you let people know bedrooms before we go so we know what sheets to bring.

We will probably be spending the Monday by the pool.

I will let everyone know. You can be fairly certain that if you're bringing a swmbo along, it's a double sheet, and your preference of double covers, duvet, etc. :) That should be the only thing not provided by Center Parcs - To be safe, I would also bring loo roll - I can't remember last year if they supplied that! I sure hope so.

Oh, and bring euros for the bar! :dtp:

Have now re-read it! Dirty minds think alike.

Which twins were you thinking of? Olsen twins?

Erm... they'd do I suppose!

Right... who's actually going to get the E111 and the Green Card then?

Show of hands :)
