Would like it to be. ;)

STILL ONE SPACE LEFT PEOPLE! IF YOU LIVE ANYWHERE CLOSE TO THE ROUTE FROM EXETER TO DOVER, I'LL GLADLY TAKE SOME AS A PASSENGER!

Is that as a passenger to the ring, round the ring, or both?

Well, I've promised one other person laps, and I want to do some myself on my own, when I might push a little harder than normal.

So it is essentially

1) Lift to and from the Ring (ferry booked already)

2) Bed for the three nights

3) A passenger ride or two around the Ring

4) Definitely NOT a go in my car around the Ring. (although might insure the lucky person to share the driving there and back if I get knackered :))

5) The opportunity to whore passenger rides off other people going. Focus ST might be fun. ;)

Bearing in mind I've never been on a track... it should be entertaining :D

Maybe I should come with my brothers car(celica trd) to keep with all yours modified car

but now i have all the bookings made with my skoda.

Next year trip then:thumbup:!

STILL ONE SPACE

is avaliable. :)

I am tempted to offer it at a "VERY" discounted rate, but I'm afraid I would ask for it to be paid for in other ways - i.e a couple of rounds at the bar. :)

As said before, I will also give some en-route from Exeter to Dover (with reasonable diversion to pick-up/drop-off) and give them a free lift to the Ring - Accommodation paid for, ferry paid for. Can't go wrong!

Villas look like they are nice and close to the bar

After watching those safety videos Im going slow on my first lap.

..'bout them walkie talkies, is 3km range enough?

Managed to get 2 cheap 'biker voice-activated WT's in LIDL, 446Mhz, 8 channel, 5km range.

Will they allow us to stay in contact with the rest of the convoy, Rubber Duckie?

Jason, I'd take you up on your offer, but seeing as you won't let me drive it round the Ring, I'll politely decline.... :haha:

May be next time - or if you are there in June.....

Just got my insurance Green Card sorted....

They said I'm covered TPFT without it, or £18 and I'm covered as I would be here... so might aswell :D

I think there is a bloke from Aberdeen wanting to come along. Trouble is it's probably further from Aberdeen to Devon than it is from Devon to the Ring!

Anyone know if any airline flies into Gatwick from Aberdeen? :)

It looks like flybe are the only ones left on this route. It would cost a little over £100 for the flights, then add airport parking.

The fuel costs of the trip south & back would probably be £140 or so.

How much hassle is flying these days?

apparently i don't need a green card,i'm covered fully comp for 90 days ffrom departure,or so they said today:confused:

Just take your insurance docs with you, if you do get pulled hope the rozzer that pulls you understands English :D

Are people finding they are covered on the n'ring with their normal insurance ?

No, and I don't expect to be.

On my head be it, and anyone else going. It's not a trackday after all - just a spirited drive around a public delimited toll road.

AAARRRRRRRRRRGHHHH! :D It's MAY already! We're off in 9 days!

Anyway - Just for info, it's possible there's a spare place on the trip (as a passenger only) if you reside in the Derbyshire area (or between there and Dover) and fancy coming along, give me a shout. ;)

I'm off in 8 days and can't find anybody for a brisk drive on m4 the night before:(

Babs will probably be doing M4, in time to catch what I assume is the 8am ferry on the saturday. :)
