Well I'm fully booked - Travel Lodge near Dover, Ferry's all sorted... and addresses all written down for entry into my satnav

Total cost of Ferry Tickets was about £45 return... not bad considering usual price is like £100 :eek:

Four and a half hours drive from Liverpool > Dover though, still I'd rather go over in a large group in the event I get lost

I'd better get my ferry sorted too.

how much are tickets from Hull then? I am in Sheffield and everytime I drive to Czech I go via Dover as it is so much cheaper with Norfolk line.

For 2 adults it was around £260 return for a premier outside cabin. So it's about £35 each more expensive to go via Hull unless you go for the travel lodge in Dover option then it's about the same.

I'd rather put the miles on the car around the ring than driving up and down the UK

As we only have 4 accommodation spaces available, I am going to stick my neck out and pay for all 3 cabins in one go on my credit card. This will mean me spending almost 2000 euros on my credit card, so for those who've not arranged/made payment, can you get in touch by PM so I can provide the options for paying.

If anyone wishes to come along as an "extra" at the end, I am happy to allow the odd person/couple to doss down in one of the cabins of 8 (on your own airbeds/similar) - and split the "profit" made from splitting the cost over more people between everyone.

No worries, but any later than about 20th Feb and I'm pushing it with my credit card company.

for anybody that hasn't booked a ferry yet , Norfolkline are doing some good deals if booked before 29th Feb , £14 a crossing if booked in conjunction with a return ticket , its only on selected crossings though , so you better check their website
