A quick favour - would anyone know a source for 101 / 102 octane petrol around the Dover Ferryport?

I assume Super Unleaded (97) is readily available, so if we can't get the real juice, we'll bring a few cans of Octane Booster.

you will need the octane booster anyway, 101/102 is not available at the ring, only 92/95 or 98 ron.

And the diesel there is not the best either, so I'm planning on brimming totally at Dover, then getting to the Ring on half a tank, and using the other half on laps. I will probably need to fill up at some point but my car never runs as good as it does on UK fuel. Suspect it might be the biodiesel additive, or perhaps a really rubbish cetane rating?

Right - I've just checked the Ring calendar again, and thank f*** the track is open all day on the Sunday & Monday. The monday "should" be comparatively quieter due to it being a workday for most people in Germany (I hope ) so I might aim to do the most laps on this day.

I would say for £ per lap, 15 is probably about right. Allows you say 3 laps in the morning, and afternoon, over both days. 25 laps is going to be close to 300 miles - At race mpg. I can see me needing a tank of diesel after 12 laps.

Also found a site that listed average petrol prices for abroad, petrol was about the same as here, whereas diesel was slightly cheaper.
