Rocker cover breather pipe

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Been told by my Skoda dealer when I had the cambelt changed that my rocker cover breather pipe needs replacing, is it an easy DIY job and if so could someone help with info on where it is etc

Its a 2002 Octavia vRS

very easy mate - largish hose on the top of the engine connected to the air intake after the filter.

Squeeze that end and the clip comes off. Use a pair of pliers/mole grips to compress the clip on the other end and it's off.

To fit the new piece, dissasembly is (you know the rest).

Here's mine done. The old one just crumbled away. Guess the oily vapours kill the rubber. very quick job.
