Seems to be a common topic this on the thread, whn I asked abou this the dealer said about 2008 but I don't think that will be the case, more like 2009 to 2010, hence the reason why some of the vrs' are being held onto and also holding their value.

Skoda will release something but I reckon it's got to be somethig special as I don't think the current fabia shape will do it any favours.

Fabia Sport 1.9tdi with styling pack, mk1 fabia vrs wheels, jabba bar, audi 312mms brakes, a bigger turbo and a remap .

No warrenty but it would defo have the WTFWTF (What The **** Was That Factor)

The new fabia is the same as the mk1, it uses the same chassis

the stud pattern for the new fabia is still 5x100

This is what Autocar/express have been saying in every mag with their up and coming they list all cars and month when they are expected and the vRS has always been 2008.

However with the change from PD to common rail by VW it would clearly make sense to put that new engine into the vRS rather than a short run of one engine then change to another.

ALso be prepared for much lower MPG on the common rail over PD if your getting poor MPG now then your going to be tearfull when you see how much heavier on fuel the Common rail is.

The fuel drop is't that much less on a common rail.

You won't get as much torque out of it compared to the PD but the power delivery will be smoother unlike the thrust of the PD.

To be honest, it was coming anyway, I would rater have a nice smooth engine than a Transit sounding thing like my Fabia vRS in the mornings.

It will be interesting to see what the drop in MPG is as the PD engine theroetically is the most efficient available.

When I tested the Golf GT TDi140 it in all honesty didnt feel that fast compare that to my old Golf GT TDI 115 and that felt much quicker due to the very peaky delivery of the PD engine - I used to really enjoy it thrusting in (even though I knew it wasnt that fast with its 210lbf.

My Skoda Dealer told me its late 2009 before we'll see a Fabia 2 vRS.

Roomster Scout alloys would be a better choice on the Fabia II

How are they going to make it "properly" this time? The Mk1 vRS wasn't launched until 3 years after the first Fabias (around 2000) so it sounds like they're working to an identical schedule with the Mk2 vRS.....

IIRC, the Mk2 Octy has moved to PCD 5 x 112, whereas the Mk2 Fabia has remained at PCD 5 x 100.

make it properly? thought furby vrs was overall a really good car,i know there are a few niggles ,but what car doesn't,same with the octy vrs, i have had problems ,but still wouldn't buy anything else for the money:thumbup:
