Octavia 1.6FSI Clutch

Featured Replies

I have a 2006 Octavia 1.6FSI. Has anyone experienced clutch judder when cold?

I have a 2007 1.6Fsi but have not experienced clutch judder as yet. Although i have had other problems.......

Please please please God, I pray to you not to let me have a clutch problem also lol.

I feel a bit of judder, but I did not pay attention to it...

Yeah I have clutch judder. Its partly because my car has now done almost 55k on it, but it happened when there was less wear and its definitely more noticeble when its cold. I wouldn't call it a problem but a 'feature' :P

I sense a bit of it when too laizy to revv over 2k rpm when pulling away.

I get it now and again when cold. However, it doesn't last long, and only in 1st and 2nd. My car is a 2.0tdi.

The clutch judder when cold is a common problem in TDI engines. It has something to do with dual-mass flywheel. Usually Skoda fixes it by replacing the flywheel. Manufacturing fault I think.

I've heard that some 2.0 FSI engines have had the same problem, but I've never heard that 1.6 FSI suffers from it.

I think it is not a problem. It is just a bit of vibration that u feel when u depress the clutch. Matter of getting used...

my previous car was O2 1.6 MPI with the same problem that appeared around 35.000 km.
