It is now like a new car!

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am rather pleased to say the least! One of our Furbs has just been professionally detailed and paint corrected, and to be honest, I am gobsmacked! The difference is light and day, old car to new car.

The process took 10 hours in total, and involved, cleaning the alloys, cleaning the engine bay, foaming the car, numerous washes and rinses, then 4 hours of paint correction with a buffer, then all seals and doors cleaned and prepped, tryes dressed, exhaust shined, interior cleaned, the list goes on! :D

Finally after the paint was cleansed, it was treated to some very special wax and then buffed off.

So, pics - lots can be found via the blog here.

A couple below

The great guy responsible for the transformation is Glyn O'Donnell, Elite Detailer. He has been in the business for 20 plus years and to say he know his stuff is an understatement. His details are here.

Very very nice, bet that cost an arm and a leg. And possibly the body too.

Looks lovely

very very nice looking fabia mate

Hi Mossman,

Looks Fabialous!!!!!

To make it absolutely Fabialous budget for; Leather interior, 17" Octys, Eibachs and a Black Magic grill surround

Thats what summer is for detailing like mad, mine will be super clean come summer.

Thanks for all the comments chaps! :D:thumbup:

It is cleaner than a new VRs I had a few years ago! It was not cheap, but I would say amazing value when you see the results. I would guess you would get back 2-3 times the cost if you sold the car.

As to making it a fabulous car as mentioned above, it already has the Eibachs, happy with the standard and very Q car looks of the 16's and would not have a black grille thing if I was paid! ;) Not for me.

As to leather, someday! :D

That car is sick!! How much did that set u back if you dont mind me asking? Whatever you paid was worth it tho!!

I'd also be interested to know what sort of money that treatment costs - it looks stunning. Only problem is, now you've got to try and keep it like that!

wow!! that looks really nice! tastey!

That is dogs b's go on then how much, I would put it in the garage now and just shut the door, and peep at it every now and then,

Very nice mate, im impressed.

I know exactly what you mean about keeping it in the garage!

I applied a second coat of wax this morning, but then I had to go out this afternoon to see a potential client. So, out she came, a few pics and off we went, 100 metres later I was pained to have to use the rear wiper, and after that, bye bye immaculate car!

Oh well! I'm actually looking forward to looking after it now. Just bought a pressure washer, a snowfoam lance, and loads of product....... and some very special wax coming soon

I'll have mine looking like that again, come the Spring - can't wait :D

You can't beat a good detail, looks great. Have you got details of all the products he used? Would be interested to see how it compares to the items I've hand picked for Black Magic.

Totally know what you mean about it leaving the immaculate state. Heart breaking but it has to happen eventually! You should find now that it's much easier to clean and I still stand by the fact that I don't think a detailed car gets as dirty anyway, as the muck/dirt/debris has less chance of sticking.

Steve

That looks stunning mate, worth every single penny you paid.

Just goes to show how much difference there is between a clean car and a detailed car

Very shiny!
