Excellent job, must do this myself before summer :)

Looks great that Bowders

Looks great Bowders, have just got my vent, roll on the next nice day to get it fitted.

Drill FTW.

Did the arch liner today like VRSPhil's as I had the wheels off to fit new droplinks so thought I'd take the liner out and drill it.

For reference I typed capital X's using MS Word then printed onto A4 paper. 13x20 X's about 1 cm apart, taped it to my liner and used a 3mm drill piece to make the holes. Would post pics but dont know how to do it.

what size font did you use?

Ethos, my DV pipe rubbed on my engine cover so I ended up cutting it back a little.

Looks ok I think.

That's a lot neater than mine!

And as for the vent. This is nicer IMHO:

Yeah, but you still have the arch liner at the back...looks nice tho.

The vents should perform the same function as venting the arch liner as they're behind the intercooler.

Yeah, I kinda forgot that!

And they do look nice. As long as you're daft enough to cut holes in your bumper!! :D

Mustve been a big deep breath before the dremel touched down.

Just a bit!!

Rob your engine covers not bad...

I also like your bumper vents, I think like the Audi RS4. I just purchased the rear diffuser and was thinking of getting those bumper vents. very steady cutting is required there matey

The engine cover looks better in the photo than I remembered! :D

The RS4 is what convinced me the vents were a good idea!

Do you have a pic of your rear diffuser? Is it the Milotec item?

The cutting wasn't so bad once I'd got over the shock of the fact that I was cutting a hole in my car!!!

what size font did you use?

Font Times New Roman size 12, did X then tab repeatedly. tabbing the cursor over gave a nice space

At end of line i entered twice to allow the space between rows :D looks pretty much the same as VRS Phils on page 2 of this thread to give you an idea, and Rob I am daft enough to cut holes in my bumper so those vents are on my to do list but that will be just before I get the bumper resprayed which won't be for a while yet.

Fitted TT arch vent today, thanks to all who posted photo's,and made it easy for me.

Im after the porshe cayenne vent, its basicaly the whole front of the arch is vented.

I got the bumper vents also and they are so easy its untrue, as rob shows you get a template so its silly easy the margine for error is a quarter inch so wow u need a strong gust of wind to blow you over to screw those up! and they look decent aswell.

Rob, Yes my diffuser is a milotec one, I bought it from butts from £66 inc posting. Not fitted it yet. Hopefully at the weekend along with my new ABP Cold air kit.

I think those bumper vents will be the next mod on the list. And I thought the Skoda VRS was not that modable when I first bought it...My Wallet tellls me otherwise...

Kenny nice job on the arch ...

Would the massive hole behind the intercooler which leads into the engine bay not perform the same function as these mods?

They do look nice though.

I found this guide on the seat forum.

1. Remove wheel and fender liner from car

2. make 6 8" horizontal cuts w/razor in front of where IC sits

3. get at least 1500W hair dryer and heat where you want to make a permenant bend

4. hold dryer as close as possible to plastic without over heating dryer, while holding dryer with one hand use needle nose(or whatever you have) to twist the plastic. Use your feet to keep the rest of the liner from bending.

5. keep holding the piece you're bending (bend further than you need because it will go back slightly) and switch the dryer to no heat (or just wait till it cools)

6. once cool it will stay in that position. keep doing this til your fender looks vented

7. takes about 45min start to finish.

I did'nt have a massive hole behind the intercooler into the engine bay, just the wheel arch liner which forces the air into the wing, thats why I thought fitting a vent was a good idea.

Its where the intercooler pipe comes from the turbo into the cooler.
