Not sure about that, looks a bit dodgy. Drilling is the way.

And clean those wheel inners! ;)

Pfft, the car is lucky if it gets washed at all, I'm not wasting my time washing bits you can't even see!

Like I said, with a bit more prep work and care, I think it would look the most OEM. Another good option would be to use a hole cutter, I didn't have one to hand but it would do the job nicely.

I meant the insides of the alloys but the arches could do with a clean now you mention it ;)

Ill get a few snaps tomorrow chaps, I tried earlier but my camera wasnt too happy.

The TT mod does look alright but £25 or whatever for a piece of 6 inch square plastic, no thanks ;)

hi guys

all look n sound good.

were can I get one of thoes front splitters from and what sort of money are we lookin at?

cheers

Splitter looks good , The TIP was close on my coolant pipe to and touches the DV, but looks ok.

I will probably do the TT mod at some point as I was lucky at getting an arch liner out of a scrap yard.

I was bored today and removed the plastic fins from my stock Airbox. sounds a little more wooshy from the DV and feels a little smoother. Mind you it was late this evening when I tried the car out and the air was cool and moist. Car always runs better.

Can buy the splitter from SEAT dealers P/N 1ML 805 903 Price around 17.50 plus VAT.

I went for the drilling option with my arch liner. I think providing you choose the hole size carefully (large enough to allow a reasonable flow of air, but small enough to intercept mud from the wheel), it's fine. I wasn't about to spend c£20 for a TT arch just to cut it up and butcher it on to mine.

Looks good Ethos, watch that splitter though as they do scrape the higher speed humps quite badly if your not careful. I had to change the route out of my estate when I fitted mine .

Like the vent lots do you have a part number and price for it?

So, all you people with the arch mod. Does the car hold boost any better and feel any faster?

Well, I def think the car is feeling more lively. The ASR seems to be coming on more!

This could be the TIP and/or the intercooler mod. Cooler air going into the intake can only do good things in my opinion.... It'll cost you maximum of £18 and 30 minutes! DOOOOO IIT!

VRSPhil, that looks awesome- must admit. Looks more OEM then mine.

I want a CAI now, MUST STOP SPENDING MONEY I DON'T HAVE!

Thanks, I've already "overcome" most of the speed bumps around me so seems to be ok!

Was worried I'd also have to find alternate routes :P

The PN for the vent is 8N0 821 172 B from Audi.

One of the vent, looks a bit weird as some bits around have been wiped a little cleaner.

It could of been done better, infact Vrsphils looks alot better imo.

The Tip looks a good fit.

Iam a little worried that crud would end up going in through the vents and causing less flow, please reassure me as i work on a farm;).

Well the way I thought about it was- it's on alot of the audi cars so it can't be a massive problem. It doesn't take 2 minutes to unclip that side and bend it back to have a look either, so you could check it every few months?!!

Tip is a fairly good fit, still worried that the nipple bit is going to cause problems, might get underneath again in a few weeks and see if it has come apart at all.

Going to get the 5 piece hose set next I think ;)

Nice use of cable ties..................LOL

Ha! That's to stop the cover rubbing on the hose- it's held on my a jubilee clip!! Honest!

:D

has the vent made much difference?

That looks good mate! might give this ago myself, if you don't mind me asking what size drill bit did you use and what sort of spacing? Cheers.

Yeah think a splitter is the next mod.

A bit off topic but how come youv'e only got 16" wheels?

Kenny,

Give me a shout then, as i'm going to order one too...maybe give each other a hand to fit ?

(could always order 2 when i go)

Here we go, around 25 of these at a guess.
