It pains me to say that as of Sept 08 I will no longer be a Furby vRS owner.

Today I put a deposit on a new car.

I have had to place an order due to the strong sales and there is a limit of 16K units to the UK, strong sales meant that it would be a huge risk if I delayed too long, and as SUK still cant make up their mind around a new Fabia vRS, its not a Skoda.

Will I still be welcome to arrange and attend Kent meets ?

I dont think ther will be any objections to staying here, although I will be spending some time on a new site.

well I'm happy to say that I'm still welcome at the meets (but I don't go to the special VAG type meets!) , and am organising the summer "lakes" camping trip this year I've made some good friends on here, and just because I no longer own a skoda, doesn't mean I don't still like the skoda's, i do! there were some really nice octy vRS's at the cat'n'fiddle meet, and there is still a chance I may be owner of a MK1 before the end of the year (with SWMBO commendearing the GPS) so stick around, because , like me, your experiances of owning the skoda, can still be of help to current, and new members!

give us a review when you've run in your new car!

Not even warm there Richie.He is allowed to drive my smartie if he is very good.Hopefully I will also be allowed to drive his new one.Got to be good for ages though as it is not due until his birthday in September.

Yep it is the Sport 500 diesel , Red, bodykit, 100w sub, 16" alloys.

Just want the personalised 58 plate.

The Blue & Me is fascinating, and hopefully in 3 or 4 years Skoda will have the Joyster

there are loads of things the blue and me does with voice commands, that arn't in the handbook, for example with a memory stick (I have an 8 gig one in mine!) you can just say "artists" or "folders" to the car, and then scroll through all your music on the multifunction display (I have mine set to "shuffle on" )... It understands things not listed!

I wanted mine to update its memory from my phones phonebook, as I had added new numbers, so I told it to "update" and then wondered why it told me this could take hours...... then found my car accessing the internet via my phone, to fiat, looking for software updates! :eek:

I later realised, it checks the phone for updates (of your phone book!) every time you turn the engine on

It will be driving your car for you next, and texting your misses when your be home for dinner, judging the traffic first!
