i was gonna say an ac cobra, the slr is for girls, you may just get away with the slr 722,but even then i'm not sure:thumbup:
Twice a week i use my mums car when she's looking after my daughter, and i drive her Honda Crv.

Definately not a blokes car..

Can almost hear people laughing as i go by. :D

You can imagine how i look driving SWMBO's car

In lemon yellow:rofl:

I hold my breath as I write this and wait for the onslaught of comments and laughter

Meet my summer / weekend motor, is it manly enough ?

Argh, any technical people wanna help me out - i've tried to attach a picture and although it says it's already loaded up it clearly isn't there.

It's because you've used the exact same picture elsewhere on the forum, I'm guessing. Maybe best to direct them to http://www.briskoda.net/forums/general-car-chat/lets-see-some-pictures/88632/10/#post1141535 instead

Any FRENCH car

Easily the broad brush statement of the week! Well done Sir...

I think I can quite easily find you a few Frenchies that you wouldn't think were girly. You need to take those blinkers off I think

I dipped into Google Images and this was the first one I thought of: click. Girly?

Off topic! Love the DAF XF ;) and standard! I suppose DAF dealerships told you they were not mappable. They told most clients the same thing.

Want more info? :P;)

I swapped an Octavia for an MX5 mk 2 1.8

Don't think I have ever had so much fun in a car.10 years ago,it would just have been known as a sports car.

Buy cars for your pleasure, not to satisfy the demands of others I say:thumbup:

(A4 convertible is for ladies though;))

Em, my point was that I can't enjoy driving an MX-5, because it's not wide enough for me (or any other normally broad-shouldered male) to steer it properly! That's a verifiable point of ergonomics, not a stereotype or prejudice!

Ah but Mike, your company motor more than makes up for that !

Definately a manly beast you drive ! ;)

I wanted a Lotus Elise but (apart from the roof leaks and concerns re reliability) I thought MX was more practical:).Would still love one though.

It's funny ,two cars there born of the same principle and yet some see the one as girly and the other not.

Thankfully I'm at the age where I don't care now:D

Not too fussed about more power , A:- It aint mine and B:- I get paid by the hour, but cheers anyway:thumbup:

And about the MX5... mk1's are brilliant! I would love to have one if it weren't for the (lack of) practicality. When I can afford to run a second car I will definately have one, 1.6 supercharged on throttle bodies, Hard Dog rollcage and door bars, few body tweaks... I have it all planned out.

... Currently trying to pursuade SWMBO that I NEED a MP62 for my 1.8...:D

Unfortunately she's not going for it yet.

As for practicality my MX5 was my daily driver for the best part of the last 9 years and at one stage was our only car. They are more practical than they get credit for!

Can I ask if you are a strange shape or one of our 'bigger' members then? (no insult intended!)

I'm just under six foot tall and take a 40" or 42" suit jacket depending upon cut and have no real problems (but am fairly slim and then maybe I've got used to it?). The Mk1 is slightly larger inside than the Mk2 though so have you tried both?

It was an early mark 1 I drove. I am a slightly unusual shape in that I'm short legged and longish armed for my height though. Also, just because of the width of my shoulders, I normally wear a 44" jacket.

Hmm... Sounds like with your shape you would struggle - such that you have fairly bent arms due to seat postition for the pedal, all of which is exacerbated by width... shame!

However - your shape does open up lots of other possibilities - mostly italian as they seem to favour the short leg/long arm seating position.

I'm 6'1" and I'm also "shaped like Johny Bravo" (think about it), but slightly wider up top - I take a 48" jacket.

And I agree, there's not a lot of room!

Oh the good old days when car manufacturers produced tasteful promotion piccies! Here's a car that girls just look right driving!

What car?

;)

:D

Ka - totally agree had one as a loan car - awful.

Porsche boxter - pedals are at the wrong angle and too small. How anyone says they are good...

Funny if the Boxster is too small how come Clarkson manages to drive one with no apparent problems?? I'm 5. 8in and rocking on a bit but have no problem driving or getting in and out of mine(" The Old Boys Toy") and I like to drive sat well back!!

By the by it's spelt BoxSter, probably for the US market and to avoid being linked with the Ferrari Boxer!!

The Mk 3 (NC) has a surprisingly roomy cabin. I sat in my sister in laws MGF and felt like a sardine, but the NC is really spacious.

Maybe the Boxster S is completely different to the Boxster, but the Boxster S is completely opposite to everything you just mentioned. Although, it's got hard leather seats. But a great driving position.

They're good, thats why they sold thousands of them and are branded a Porsche, not to mention carrying on producing the Boxster for more than 10 years.

i dont mind the pedals in the boxster but find the driving position inferior to the 911.... which is odd given the level of shared components..
