Looking at getting some Audi S4 replicas - 18" to go on my red mk1 Octy VRS. What are peoples opinions oj this style of wheel? I think it will look sweet as the spoke pattern isn't too far removed from the original alloys.

Anyone got any pics of these wheels on an Octy?

Avus rims look amazing on the Octavia, even in 17".

I think matt@force has s3 rims on... and they look the biz.

I have S3 rims on mine.

Be careful tho as your post says S4 rims which IIRC are 5x112 which is Octy II fitment.

Octy 1 is 5x100 - same as S3 rims which look pretty much identical.

Yup, I've just got the s3 alloys for mine, I spent age's looking around at different wheels and narrowed it down to VW Santa Monica's or the S3 wheels, the corrosion problems on the Santa Monica's put me off them and I glad I went for the S3's..

Not those new S4 rims...they look awful on an Octy. The old S4 ones in 18 inch AVUS style are more like it. I think the standard wheels are a good match for the Octy though.

The new ones were the ones I was looking at, also considering the RS6 wheels.

I want something that looks fairly subtle but just makes the car a bit different. Might have to try my hand at photoshopping a few differnt types onto a side shot of my car...

Someone on here had them on a red one, it didnt look good at all sadly.

dont bother mate rochford tyres website does it for you but only in white but you get the idea.

Have a look at A8 wheels i know im biased but think that they look sweet, have to say though that 18's would have looked better now though

Cheers Mattbeef - the rochford site is a good one for comparing the different styles. I like the R32 alloys on the Octy - I reckon they'd look good in gunmetal or black.

Berretta had the S4 wheels, Audi TT, If we're talking about the same alloys.

Very nice, i like them a lot. Much better than any others that i'v seen fitted to the MK1. I take it they are the copys from ebay? There selling them now for £399 inc tyres so i'v been thinking about buying a set for winter use etc.

If they are including tyres, watch out as theyll probably be made out of recycled bin liners. Also for that price Im guessing the wheels arent good quality either.

Nangkang tyres so just like Avons and at that price the wheels are pretty much disposable. They certainly wont be of OE quality but someones gotta try these things. Do alloy wheels need to be CE marked at all. Or any other reference (BS etc)

With a remapped Octy I wouldnt touch them.

With the huge amount sold and put on most Vag cars the quality cannot be that bad. I would very much doubt the quality is that bad a remapped Vrs would effect them. I am very happy with them and as stated if curbed can replace with out costing too much. My standard wheels all needed new tyres and that was dearer than these wheels to replace.

Bowders is there any problem with rubbing of arches on full lock at that size? I like the look and the ebay prices but don't want to introduce problems where none exists with my standard wheels/tyres
