New Citroen C5 Advert

Featured Replies

saw this at the cinema tonight, thought it was quite good. The new C5 actually looks a very handsome car. A great improvement on the old barge. lets hope they can keep this design revolution going...

YouTube - The New Citroen C5 - Unmistakeably German

I really like it, hopefully it will keep the C5 tradition and be bloody huge.

The lesser models get steel springs to tempt fleet buyers.

If I was to choose one it would need the magic carpet ride for sure

Hopefully it will be assembled properly. Saying that I had a 2000 Xantia and it never rattled, squeaked or broke down on me and the ride was incredible.

How sad is that - I usually go there to watch films :P

Getting some pretty good write-ups - and I like the looks (esp considering the dire Picarso and the C2s etc)

Im not one for anything french, but the new C5 does look quite nice. Looks bit like a mix of Volvo,VW and Pug with a Citroen badge

Looks well :) I have a secret soft spot for Citroens, it was my problematic 2001 Xsara VTR coupe that put me off, but hopefully this will be a return to form. I miss my BX 16 valve :(

I love the line "Unmistakably German"

My first car was a Xantia. The ride, handling and braking were great! Shame the suspension kept breaking down... :(

as the citroen dealers just next door as soon as they have it in i'll get some shots and info about it. it looks good on the info ive already seen!

I miss my BX too. :(

I can't believe you can buy a c5 without the LHM powered suspension/brakes/steering.

Still I'm very much liking this this and the derv engines are pretty good in them so I will definitely have a look come replacement time.

The ad has been removed from youtube :(

A lot of BX fans on here...

Those were the days, lying on my back, wet through, expertly changing the stupid rubberised pipe that kept exploding.

I still have about 1/2 a dozen, and a couple of tubs of lhm somewhere.

Great cars, when working ( I've had at least 7 of them, and would have another like a shot.)

The C5 will be a fantastic buy when 12 months old, as you can be sure they will depreciate at a great rate.

Those were the days indeed. The pipe on the front strut. Then you thought, I'll make it home before the suspension drops on its ***.....but you never did make it, and then your brakes and steering went too. LHM - the most expensive liquid known to man

I'd have a 16 valve again without question if i found a minter.

Find one Dave, and I'll go halves with you.......

I nearly bought a CX GTI Turbo not so long back, but they are a bit big to hide from the wife.

Those were the days, when I could afford to run a car that did 12 to the gallon when driven enthusiastically:eek:

When I was a lad etc etc etc......

I missed all this but still have fond memories of the BX. Remember my Dad had a light blue BX19 GTi as a company car :)

And we ran a BX16 TGS for quite a few years in the 90s. Were good cars. I'd be pleased if they had a return to form

I know of a mint 16v that might be coming up for sale. Will have a chat with the guy if you're interested.

1070KG and 160BHP

BX 16 Valve Home Page - Ours was in red and you have to love the air shot :D

I have to say i never lost that pipe, mine was the tiny little £3 one on the regulator sphere that connected to the coiled metal return pipe. Doddle to change but too vulnerable without an undertray.

I kept 1L of LHM in the boot and some gaffer tape. If I could find a solid BX shell I'd have it as the 2.1 XUD from the Xantia is a nice fit in there and 110bhp too :)
