The rear bushes on my front wishbones are cream crackered, so am replacing them with a set of Powerflex bushes.

Just wondered of anyone has done that (they are the donut looking ones - nice purple colour!) any what if any difference they have made.

Oddly enough they seem to be less expensive than the factory ones

Rear beam ones make more difference oh and don't bother with the ARB ones, they don't fit the RS

Dumb n00bie mode again, but what are bushes and where would I find them? And how do you know if they are knackered?

Q, don't do it, there is no real need.

What they are talking about are the various suspension bushes (the 2 sets on each front wishbone, the steering rack, the ARB mounts, the engine dogbone mount and the 2 rear beam mounts). Rather than being rubber they are polyurethane whcih reduces the compliance in the joints, making the car stiffer and "possibly" harsher. Tey are only really needed if you are into the banzai approach to motoriing, if the bulk of your driving / your driving style is at the normal to sedentary end of the scale, keep with the standard ones. When they go, then make the choice as to what to go for, don't change just because "it's the thing to do".

Still curious to find out how you know they are knackered? Do you physically need to inspect them, or are they making noises they shouldn't make?

Also need them if you fit front lower strut braces to Fabia's!
