New Volkswagen Scirocco

Featured Replies

Why is it called a Scirroco and not a Corrado? Was/Is the Corrado a different class?

The Corrado was more up-market (and hence more money), and because of this VW sold the Mk2 Scirocco along side the Corrado for a few years.

But technically, the Corrado is a Mk3 Scirocco (there are pictures of the concept with the Scirocco badge), and the new one is the Mk4.

I bet they're cursing over on many of the Scirocco owners club forums!

And the interior looks like it's been dragged out of a mk5 Golf and whitewashed.

Dash is from VW Eos.

Ooh, I've just seen my next car!

I LOVE that tan leather....

:+1:

I think it's a very strong design, not necesarily beautiful, but looks different to normal boring VW fayre.

I'd have one.

There is another picture in the motoring supplement of today's sun.

In fairness it looks better in that pic.

The **** end on line and the front in the paper. New Superb in there too.

Is anyone else thinking it looks similar to Astra / Corsa coupe?

Yes... it's still lush though!

Alfa 147 rear and Volvo C30 from side. I quite like it but considering the Volvo C30 has been a sales flop VW should be concerned. But then buyers are still strangely "dazzled" by the enticement of the VW Brand.
