They probably won't have a clue on the stand!

It was still there on the drivers side today , with nothing on the opposite.

I have some pics on my camera (plus a few of the new octy) if anyone wants another look.

A sponsor logo on the car does not mean they use the product. T-mobile sponsors them too, but for all we know they use Orange for their mobiles ;)

Yep still their today. I also have it on camera.

That's the warranty gone in a big way, then. :(

How would i know?

I don't indulge in such pointless games ;)

dont wanna sound thick or owt but.......you know the airscoop on the top of the fab wrc? last time i saw one was on a lotus exige (mmmm very nice) and thought it had summat to do with engine cooling or induction , leading cool air backwards to the engine(which sits nicely in the boot). i therefore cannot explain the need for one in a front engined car - am i thick or what???

Can't have enough cooling... cooler air is more oomph

yeah , i understand that bit - but why the need for a scoop in a front engined car? surely more than enough comes thro front grille? how does the 'scooped' air get re-directed forward to intake?

Not sure what sort of induction system the WRC runs, but you can bet it's pretty near to that scoop ;)

but surely 'that scoop' would only be of any use to a rear engined car - is this a case of wrc cosmetic modding? i doubt it, would cost a few grand to develop the rubber in the wipers let alone any performance stuff -so why the scoop????? no-one has answered the question yet !

sorry mr. hartlepool, dont see how that piccy explains the scoop - just explains about the standard limited air intake for wrc IN FRONT of intake- could the scoop be for another purpose-?interior cooling - gets bloody hot in there ?

sorry mr. hartlepool
 :nono:

I don't remeber where i heard/read it, but i believe it is for interior cooling...

have i caused offence by naming a town in the north east of england? am new to this site and therefore am not totally up with the rules. apologies to 'monkey hanger' if that is the case.

You need to be aware that some members are 'sensitive', geordiesteve, and can bite on occasion. ;)

thanks dgw - will take that advice. don't wanna upset anybody here ! :)

Dont worry m8 we all do it at some time or another

As for the air scoop, I would have thought it would be more effective than relying on air intake through the front grill, as the air is going to try to flow up and over the bonnet following the bonnet lines, thus being caught more effectively. Also dont forget that when they do night stages they would have bloody big lights on the front which would severly obstruct the front grill air flow.

I would therefore say that at least with the bonnet air scoop they are assured of a constant air supply without obstruction.

RALLY ROOF VENTS

fit most cars

and trucks

What rallyist could be without a roof vent?

It cools that over-worked head and keeps the mind clear for the next turn.

.

Now $199

Will try to get the inexpensive ones back soon!

ROOF SCOOPS

Get some extra air into your cockpit.

Works in conjunction

with the roof vent described 'above'.

Made for real rally cars, as a sunroof cannot be operated with this scoop installed

(without modifications).

But if you're just after that snappy rally-car look, just install the scoop by itself, without cutting a hole in the roof.

$109

Steve, don't worry about it. After all, did you see me objecting?

It's not as if my name doesn't tell anyone with half a brain exactly where i'm from is it? ;)

As for the vents..

Interior cooling? hmmm maybe, but wouldnt it just blow hot air from the engine back into the car?

maybe it's a new heating system for the snow/ice stages?

:D
