I have a feeling it was b though (please use your 50/50 or phone a friend before accepting this answer).

It was B , and yes , it was a very good start to the season.

Could be an interesting one this year

I am glad someone was taking note. I think I am going a little blurry at the moment. 10_7_6.gif If i am still up i am going to watch the highlights again.

On a slightly negative side though, Hamilton is a little disingenuine when being interviewed after winning stuff. I think. there is something about his personality I don't like very much. Can't put my finger on it yet, it is some sort of arrogance but a teeny bit more snide, if you know what I mean?

I don’t think I like him as a person. Hope he wins the title though……….for Blighty

I think it's called being uber corporate.

I can't understand why Hamilton said it was his "career best win" after all he didn't have much to do.

Surely your 'best win' is when you come from down the grid and overtake all your title challengers en route to the checkered flag.

Malaysia should be interesting tho' as the Ferraris will both have new engines which might mean they can push them a bit harder then the Maclarens (of course they'll have to sort out this weeks problems first!) + Kimi looked mighty fast on soft tyres and one stop fuel load.

Massa, on the otherhand, looked rubbish!

What a race!!!!!! I won’t spoil it in case anyone hasn’t seen it yet, but what a spectacle. Perhaps not a huge amount of overtaking (more than most years though), but masses of mistakes without the driver aids, real car control and lots of possible outcomes for the race. Great entertainment, action right to the end and nobody got badly hurt.

The TV coverage was pretty ropey in places

Thought the amount of incident was ok, but not much racing, and what there was spoiled by over zealous safety car and crap tv coverage - I blame ITV. I know its not really there fault - foreign directors etc- but I just want to blame them anyway for not being the BBC;)

Wonder who Ferrari will send their lawyers after this year so they can win something?

Honda?

Ross Braun must be using his "Well when I was at ferrari......" to share some secret workings :D

Trying to think but can't place any "over zealous safety car " use:confused:

I think the use of the Safety Car was spot on at the weekend.

Probably helped by the marshalls doing quick clear ups aswell , so the car wasn't out for long periods.

The track wasn't particularily blocked so why the need for the safety car so often? If there is debris or people on the track ok but when cars are just on the side I think its "over zealous". Its like the use of sc when its raining, these are supposed to be the best drivers in the world and they can't drive in the wet with all there electronics? And before any says it I couldn't do it and yes I am jealous and also of their wages!!!!!!!!!

Still good news about the BBC anyway:)

Very good news about the BBC ! :)

Wonder if Murray Walker will make a comeback ! :D

As of next season F1 will be back on BBC so no adverts! YAY!

The problem, I seem to remember, with BBC coverage is that if there is another sporting event on around the same time, they'll show the race but with little or no other pre-race build up coverage or post race analysis.

Still with the Freeview channels they might do a better job this time round, let's hope so.

Agree that it's nice not to have any adverts, but I'll have time my 'comfort breaks' carefully (I think the rules will allow me to nip into the pits under a safety car  )

If it stays as dull as it has been then I'll record it and watch it on fast forward;) Hopefully some rule changes on aerodynamics will make for more overtaking next year. Sack everybody bar Brundle and please don't get Murray back:eek:

I bloody hope not!

I actually really like Murray, has to be a lot better than James Allan.

You obviously have no concern for the marshalls then:mad:

I thought they have banned traction control, amongst other electronic aids, and now used a standard ECU?

IMO the use of the safety car has resulted in a near total disregard for the rules on the Yellow Flag amongst drivers.

The rules still say (shortened by me) "When a yellow flag is displayed, you must slow down and be prepared to stop!"

Perhaps Max should spank the drivers for being naughty

In light of the BBC taking over coverage of F1 next season, which presenters would everybody like to see?

I hope they take Martin Brundle, but they should definitely forget Mark Blundell as his contributions are less than useless. Not sure who else could commentate

I wonder if Suzy Perry will take over from Louise Goodman?

I'd quite like to see Adrian Childes do the intro bit and the post race spot.
