Fabia 200bhp+ "club"

Slight problem I have found with doing 145mph in a fabia (gps private road) is that the undertray has completely torn off and is now hangin on the two front screws :(

undertray

What's one of those then? ;)

Its something normal Fabia's have? I lost mine a long time ago, and thankfully didnt ever replace it. Makes taking the bumper off twice the job.

And makes changing the oil so much easier without. I don't see much point it. Useless as any kind of physical protection. Perhaps it helps keep road grime out, but the bottom of my engine doesn't reall get cacked up. I did have to slightly modify how my wheelarch front bits attach to the bumper, but there you go. Joys of mongrelling.

I have no wheel arch liners either :D They fell off in anger, and broke.

 Reminds me of CZ 2006. Both mine decided to launch into my tyres. Most odd but there you go! :D

Yer it does, Had to take my bumper off for the rolling road so they could strap the beast down.... Even then it was still wheel spinning so they sprayed the tyres with carpet glue

Doesn't a flat underside give better down force, grip, airflow etc. hence why there is a plastic tray.

Quite possibly Des. Although the undertray is really quite flimsy, and i think it may just be there to look pretty and/or deaden sound?

Mmm, that's given me an idea.

If the aerodynamics thing were really the case, as in a really effective case that might make the difference between a 145 Vmax and a 160mph Vmax, I might consider making something out of thin steel/ally to just bolt up there - Not to be a sump guard, but purely a "wind director".

At the end of the day, I don't really mind that much. :D

Well the rally boys use a light weight board to flatten the underside, just trying to find the site.

What about something like plexi?

What about something like plexi?

I think if it starts to flex/resonate it defeats the whole object, could be wrong. On the whole I think it will give better stability at speed, not so much a better top end.

Are 2.0TDI's allowed in this club or is it strictly Fabia's only?
