Fabia 200bhp+ "club"

Featured Replies

There is a 300+ club for the Octavia, so why not a 200+ one for the humble Fabia.

List your mods, approx cost, and power achieved :)

How much power is yours making at the wheels at the moment then Dave?

:P

WW_VRS - 201 bhp, engine wise it's had stage 2 hybrid, FMIC, metal impeller waterpump done.

Propane not used & should be a fair bit to be had still ;)

I hope to be joining, so far got

  • stage 2 turbo dynamics turbo
  • sach clutch, the organic one which i may replace for a paddle sach one
  • peloquin ATB, is currently coming through customs and should be here this week
  • Forge FMIC
  • pd160 pipe and green panel.
  • metal impeller water pump too, does that add any extra oooomph :D

Just needs mapping now :(

devonutopia - 259bhp, VT5 turbo, FMIC, zorst, BMC, NOS, LPG - bit mental (the driver ;)).

Mine - dunno how many bhp exactly - local tuner can't gfigure out how to RR a diesel without a spark plug pulse!

I recon i am close to 200 now.

The turbo is on, the fmic is on, the exhaust is on.

The car is on a custom map that wasnt done on a rolling road from just the turbo specs and well...... abit of guestimating :o

It feels very fast but i have no idea of the power, it could be over 200 it could be under 200, who knows.

this week will see it on a roling road getting mapped properly.

Will post the RR plot up as soon as its done :D

not too bothered about big bhp numbers as long as its over 200 and it drives nice thats all i care about......... At the end of the day numbers are for pub chat, the real test is how she performs on the road.

More than yours and mine I'd imagine Tom, unless you know something I don't

Only proper RR results though not Jabba HP or any other micky mouse rollers.:P

Umm, don't think there is an official Octavia 300bhp club but there is a Briskoda 300+ club for any car. :D

218 at the flywheel last time it was measured, but it's not quite finished yet :)

Umm, what address do I post my membership fee to? ;)

Into my paypal account. HTH

Suppose you have to pay for all those engine mods somehow. :P

(but so do I! :o)

Finally made the club :D will take my lowest bhp and torque just to be on the safe side

skudmissile 226bhp stage 2 hybrid fmic decat richard washbrook'd ecu no cel light for allard egr bypass :D

226bhp that's about spot on , good work

Its actually a quicker car with the 226bhpish map on that it was with the 248bhp map.

Pulls very smooth and because the power comes in so smooth it doesnt wheel spin half as bad as when it had just a map on the standard turbo....weird!

I think the optimum power for the pd130 in the fabia chassis is around the 220-230 any more is pointless for the rev range it has.

i iant just saying that, id love more power so i bragg some more but tbh i prefer the car with less power than 248bhp, its nicer to driver and still very fast for a hatchback ;)

I find it's where your torque peak is as to how drivable it is. Mine is a little lively low down, peaking at 1500 rpm. Thats a good figure for yours anyway matey  Whats your torque?

He's posted the graphs here http://briskoda.net/forums/fabia/wish-me-luck/106894/

Mine torque peaks at 3000rpm  says 367lbft but will varify once ive been on another set of rollers.

Are your shifty rollers calibrated yet mate

Thats where my torque peaks too - I like it that way. :)

Yer, richard said it was better for the drivetrain if the peak torque was higher up the revs. More momentum then so its actually more freindly on the clutch flywheel etc.

Already got used to not booting it in high gears below 3k so thats not a problem anymore......until the flywheel breaks.

Cars that have tried and failed are a golf gt 2.0tdi...... which got left for dead on the motorway slip road.

and a new shape audi tt, twin exhausts but dont know what engine it was. he tried it on, on a NSL road and got left in a cloud of smoke.

I love my car now, its ace!

I am actually driving it alot more steady now than ever. I think its due to me now knowing my cars ability and not really trying to prove anything. if that makes sense..

Looking good.

Interestingly, mine produces a fair bit less power than I thought when I had it RR at JKM. However, the torque is pretty good and sooo smooth. Maybe one day, I'll get someone to put a slightly more aggressive map and get past the 200 barrier, but until then, I'll just sit back and enjoy
