Featured Replies

Sooo much info i couldnt be bothered reading it!

I always laugh at the 'it's quicker than a Lotus elise from 20-40 mph'

60mpg cruising????? In your dreams.....................

Interesting to see what it fetches though I have one with 7k miles on. Being serviced next week.

I can manage 60mpg cruising at 48mph behind an HGV in 6th, taking it out of gear when going down hills...

Surprised the mpg is anywhere near that if it's such a low mileage engine.

**** the bed, that seller's got a lot to say! I've just scanned through most of it and god doesn't he go on!

i can get the trip computer to say its doing 60mpg with consumate ease, but my calculations from fuel in to miles done come up somewhat short:rofl:

He also says its on variable servicing... which is simply not true.

Can they not get set to Longlife sevicing?

Every 2 years or up to 20k?

He also says it as ESP which it aint :)

The New Fabia vRS, winner of the Scottish Diesel Car of the Year 2003. It looks like a hot hatch, it feels like a sports car:rofl::rofl::rofl:

We got an average of 72 mpg out of ours on a recent trip to Scotland, so ner :D

Didnt know you could push a ar so far! :P

If you take it out of gear going downhill you'll be wasting fuel. The ECU detects over-run and shuts down the injectors, thus using NO fuel. When you take it out of gear the engine settles to idle, using fuel to keep running. On a 2 mile trip to the mother-out-laws last week I got our Octy up to 117mpg average as she is mostly downhill from us

BOT - Is it just me, or is everyone else waiting 'til SE's sell for more realistic prices  I'm afraid a nice colour, leather seats and a few attractive options don't make me want to part with £3k more than a similar non-SE vRS :finger:

and the award for the biggest ever ebay advert goes to...

They cant be set to variable at all, the sensors are not in the engine, and the ECU software doesnt support it.

You could have purchased that car from Colchester car auctions a week or 2 back.

Ah man that car is beautiful, I believe that colour suits the vRS best, especially with the tinted windows

I've seen a couple in my area, one of them had the vRS decal running from the front quarter right up at an angle towards the rear passenger window..

I want to know how much these decals cost so I can beg my mum to get one on her car

It's a good car and all but damn how does he manage to go on so much? I think I might donate some money to him just for the advert

One word sums up this ad......overkill.

Contact Andy (Sticky) HERE and tell him Dave (corradoboy) sent you. He can do anything your heart desires in graphics.

Nothing wrong with a detailed ad - I'd be far more likely to be interested in a car with a detialed ad than one which lacked information!

Oh but get rid of the music PLEASE!

Its got 19K on the clock, and I think those are the original tyres...is so then its definitly been looked after for that 19K. I'd say thats a good buy.

RE the previous post regarding 'realistic prices' , yes thats ideally what I wish to do , wait untill the 3 year warranty is up and buy one at a dealer for around £9K , complete with a FSSH and 12 month warranty , for that price I'd want an aboslute bone stock minter though.

Faster than a lotus from 20-40 yes, its just every other speed the lotus would win! :D
