It's here...

Featured Replies

...after a months and months and 4.5 hour round trip, I arrived home with 'it' (just in the door). I have a lot to say and many pics to post.

Thanks to everyone here at Briskoda who advised and convinced me that Furby power was the way forward. You've all been a great help and delivered sound counsel.

Until tomorrow.

Congrats mate! Enjoy and drive safe! :D

Nice one mate, can't wait to see the pics

Welcome to the club mate

Pics please :)

Enjoy it - I know you will!

It might be a little dirty after the trip, but its still hot like fire. It's a 2006, Fabia Vrs, completely standard and still under warranty. Two previous owners, FSSH, 27k miles and two extra alloys!

So many collegues complimented it today and my Dad is well impressed (it kept up with his A6 2.7 Tdi last night!)

Again, thanks to all Briskodians that helped out with my queries etc. My face hurts from all the grinning I've been doing.

Here are some pics (clean and art directed version to follow soon, maybe even this weekend):

looking good mate, very nice little car

Lovely indeed. :)

nice car mate reminds me of me when i first got my vrs :D

congrats buddy looks lovely mate

Welcome.

I'm a year now into the Furby vRS experience and it's every bit as exciting now, as it was on day one. Enjoy.

A word of caution, though. This forum comes with a wealth warning. The range of mods to enhance looks and performance are extensive and you'll need serious self discipline to resist. For example: like yours, mine was totally standard. Have a look in "Member's Cars", Ming, and you'll see what I'm getting at.

BTW, if, like us, you just can't resist temptation, you'll love the trip:thumbup:

Cheers ming. I know I've been researching and planning what to do first! I am going to be very careful about what I mod as I don't want to give Skoda a reason to void the warranty which has another year left.

I took a look at your Furby and, well, its really really tidy. Liking the colour-coded grill, spiders and leather interior the most.

I'm starting a little savings account for the seats for a start something like yours (how much were they btw?). Then I'll get a LCR splitter, then RARB, then some new springs (could do with opinions on these though). I've got the bug already I reckon!

First up though, I reckon I'll join Freedom!

Yeah he is right I have had mine less than a week and have spent just under a grand so far, get in. from a Civic Type R to a fabia VRS thought i would be gutted but nope its all good, just have to wait for all the parts I have ordered, koni FSD and Eibachs rear ARB, love it :cool:;)

Looking good

when it comes to pure fun and what I call "the grin factor" nothing comes close to your car.....

enjoy!!

Bas

Enjoy mate, looks really nice! Springs wise, you want eibachs :D

Looks good! Will you have to re-register it with Eire plates , or can you drive it around with the Ulster reg?

I'm driving around on Northern plates at the moment, and thank god I haven't had any problems so far. I'm waiting for the previous owner to send me the V5 before I can register it. I've been onto the VRO down south about it and its going to cost me €3300 to get the new plates! Arg... red tape!

For now though, I'm trying to enjoy it as much as possible.

picked up a puncture yesterday though!! €120 for a new Bridgestone Turanza, they have to order it in because it's rare (apparently). Still hasn't wiped the smile off my face.

Leather interior by Transcal was £750, excl door cards.

The forum favourite is Seat Surgeons. They're about the same price but incl the door cards. By all reports they do an excellent job.

Still loving the drive? Promise you, it goes on and on and on:thumbup:

I've been around motors for nigh on 50 yrs (might be the oldest Brisky) and can say, without hesitation, in standard form there's nothing quite like the vRS for under £20K IMHO. There might be others faster but they won't feel like it.

Good luck.
