After reading some of the threads I am doing a major service to my Octavia VRS MK1. Discs front and back inc pads.

Spark plugs

Ignition lead

Ignition coil

I saw a website AVS are these good parts?? I want really to know whats the best ones to get and where from?? for all the parts listed above!

As above GSF seem to be the best for pricing etc and popular with the guys on here

i got most of mine from AVS, Opie Oils, and Awesome GTI as was slightly cheaper at the time.

i wouldnt of thought youd need ignition leads unless its a different engine to the 1.8t as they have coil packs which afaik dont need changing unless knackered.

for my 40k service i changed

Oil

Oil Filter

Air Filter

Fuel Filter

Spark Plugs

Front Discs and Pads (well this weekend)

and Cambelt is going to be done with a full coolant flush and water pump

AVS brake discs where £45 for two where most others where £90+

You get a 10% discount at GSF if you're a freedom member, so if you save yourself over £12 it's well worth doing that
