Sunset Glass Code

Featured Replies

Im trying to find out if mine has this? Any idea how I can find out?

Would there be a code for it on the manufacturers sticker? Is there a list of these codes somewhere on here?? I have searched but had no luck:O

Is yours an estate? Only the estate has sunset in the UK.

Nope! Therefore I ain't got it!!!

Thanks Stu. The windows seem quite tinted though, is this normal?

Yeah they are pretty dark.

The cheapest option is probably the OEM window blinds. I have them in mine and it looks like a dark tint. Should keep the long arm of the law off your case as well.

Thanks again mate. I just looked at yours, i presume on your website and thought they were tinted. I like the look and SWMBO is 6 months pregnant and I therefore have to think about "the small one" in the back!

That picture doesn't have the blinds in.

Here are some i've just quickly taken and comparison of our LEON with factory privacy.

If only they did 'em for my fabia. :(:(:(

Only the back window is available..... Would have liked some too as an alterative to tints.

Cheers

Dave.

Cheers fella....... I've e-mailed them for current pricing as the Brisky thread mentions they had gone up from £40-50 to £150+vat!!!!!:eek::eek:

If that's still the case then they'll not have need for the sunblinds cos they can put 'em where the sun don't shine!!!!

Dave.

Can those blinds be got for the tailgate window?

The Octy II can have one on the rear parcel shelf.

Order from your parts desk.

I got a reply back regarding the Fabia one's...... The RRP is £99 but they have a 20% off offer at the mo so would come to £79 + delivery. Not bad compared to the £200 and odd i'd been quoted for the actual tints.

The only thing they mention is that the rear one is split into two halves rather than being one large blind..... Can anyone confirm if the Skoda one's are like this for the rear window? Just wondering if there's a gap between them that could be distracting...... Having a clear section of glass between the two covered areas if you see what i mean.

Cheers

The Skoda ones are one piece, but the blind doesn't rest against the window... it runs from the headlining trim to the frontmost end of the parcel shelf (just behind your rear headrests and about 18 inches from the window itself).

Oooooooohhhhhhhh boogger!!!!!!!!

I've PM'd the chap who had the fabia one's fitted by the company mentioned above to see if he can take some pics of what they look like with them being in two separate halves....... I have a feeling that it'll bug me when i look in the rear view mirror and see either a gap between the two halves or a black supporting bar etc.... on the edges of the blinds going straight down the middle of the rear window.

I'm sure there was a comprehansive pics posted recently.

  • 2 months later...

Could I ask a question for those that have the blinds fitted?

Am interested in getting them, however our estate boot is quite often occupied by a big dog. Are the clips robust?
