Look good; I think you need a rear lip spoiler though.

Steve

Where can we find a rear lip spoiler?? I'm looking for one of those for my Vrs...

all,

thx for the positive feedback... wrt lowering the car: most likely it's not gonna happen :o

There are too many speedbumps and bad roads here in Belgium + the yearly technical check is also a pain in the *ss

Cheers

Shame it can't go lower though :(

ok picked up the antenna... but I'm not a happy camper :(

Tried on the antenna as is: didn't work... I read in the "S2000 aerial" topic (http://briskoda.net/forums/octavia-i/s2000-aerial/97899/) that sometimes the bottom needs to be trimmed a bit...

I trimmed the bottom almost as far as it goes and with some effort the antenna fits (with good reception) BUT when I push it back slightly it releases immediatly so it seems that I catch the thread just a little bit.

I have the type of antenna that you can drop down (eg for carwash).

Anybody any ideas?

Cheers

OK the S2000 aerial wasn't working for me... for some reason it comes off when I give it a slight tap so I would definitely lose it in a carwash

Gots me something else then: 30mm antenna

crappy GSM pic in the rain but you get the idea:

Looks great imho (strange how an antenna changes the appearance of the car) but the reception isn't all that. I expected this though and am willing to live with it since I use the octi only a couple of times a week (got a company car)

What do you think?

Cheers

Bloody hell thats a small arial !

Looking good tho

Very tiny aerial

Cars looking very nice now and love those wheels.

nice front grill mate.

rob where did you get the s2000 aerial from?

Mine came from Ebay for about 3 quid. I wonder if they have changed the part since then because mine fit perfectly with no trimming and has been fine ever since.

It was a genuine Honda part.

yep mine too but it came off way to easy... the 30mm antenna is attached much better but reception is still crappy... anybody any ideas is there exist antenna's that you can hide under the dashboard. I heard it existed for VW but I don't have any partnumbers...

cheers

You could try something like this:

Autoleads RMA819 Internal Glass Mount FM Aerial on eBay, also, Other In-Car Ents GPS, In-Car Entertainment GPS, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 04-Jan-09 20:17:45 GMT)

I did loads of research before I bought my ariel on the mk4's forum, apparently you can cut the top off the OEM ariel and it will still work fine enfig s2000 aerial - uk-mkivs, I on the other hand went for the Enfig and with a small amount of trimming it sits nice and flush where the S2000 sticks out slightly.

don't like spoilers mate... don't think they would help to keep my "sporty" 90hp on the road :D

cheers

Just a thought, but some Fords (cetainly UK Orion [booted Escort]) had a device that let them use the heated rear window element as a radio aerial; was that the sort of thing you were talking about in #45?
