Assuming I have time this weekend as well as fitting new wheels on the A3 and weather permitting i hope to get the following done; diadem indicators, remove all the stickers, fit the aero wipers, fit the new badges, remove the car kits and ipod connector, remove the boot install (excluding amp powering main speakers), reinstate the CD changer, fit the aluminium instrument cluster rings and hopefully give the interior a good clean!

Also I've got the facelift front armrests and centre console complete with switches on the way. To sort the wheels I need to take a trip to Brum to make sure they fit over the front brakes. Only thing I haven't sorted is the quad exhaust; I've emailed blueflame but had no reply as of yet and I'm not sure who else to try.

Thanks, I've just emailed them.

Looks very nice. Enjoy.

Out of interest, how responsive is the gear change when used in sequential manual mode?

I've not tired it much in tiptronic yet but I will and get back to you.

wow!! thats a beast mate:)

I'm loving the "s" range, really think a s4/3 might be next on the cards.

That's looking really tidy, and like the others have said- it's a hell of car!

One of the options I would have really liked on my S8 that it doesn't have is the solar sunroof....

I've now got one organised though. :D

Should be great for the summer with it being a black car with black leather.

The solar sunroof is now in, gotta be one of my favorite gadgets.

I had a leak on the gearbox fixed this weekend along with the gearbox fluid and filter changed and the car is much better for it. Also found out it need discs and pads all round. :(

Am I right in thinking it had a std sunroof already Eddy? Climate and a sunroof were standard equipment on the S8s weren't they?

So what's the crack with this solar one - what does it do?

Steve

:eek::eek::eek: I've just seen your mpg stats !!!!!!

A guy on Scottish VAG who lives near me is doing up an A8

Scottish VAG - A8 Excessive

Runs the cabin fans using solar power to get rid of the hot air build up you normally get when parked up in the sun.

Oh right, I see - impressive stuff

I've not been on for a while other than to answer a few PM's so thought I'd post a little update.

The S8 now has RS4 B7 brakes all round, a Pipewerx custom quad exhaust and genuine OEM 5 spokes off a 2008 A8 W12. I'm still working on the interior so no update on that yet.
