MPG on Octavia VRS

Featured Replies

What are you averaging, im sitting at about 30 - 35 MPG i my 8 month old Octy is this lower than normal , i must admit to tipping the toe every now and again.

Sounds about about right to me. If I'm very careful I can see it in the 40's but not very often.

I'm gettin low 20s when blasting about and in the town.

Mid to high 30s when on the motorway.

3 Year old Octy with 30K miles.

If u cruise fast on the Motorway, u tend to get better MPG! When doing a constant 80 i get mid to high 30s and when cruising at 60 i only get low 30s!

Strange but true!

Standard octy vrs, 17 miles to work @ legal limit........37/38mpg steady speed as normally in a line of traffic:mad:

 Phil

sounds fine to me :)

i get around 30-36 average. Skud is 2 1/2 yrs old, 53,000 miles.

I'd say 30-35 was pretty good.

In town i get 17-19 mpg London traffic, on a run i get 35-37mpg.

Depends from half a tank in

Getting addicted to the legal*just* but bloody expensive game of getting to NSL ASAP and 0 ASAP, at least untill they tax acceleration and deceleration forces.

*I have removed the goverment health warning on the passenger side for moaning about accelerating G, used my passengers nose* Thus I'm getting really bad MPG at present...

*Yawn* 46 if hammering it.... 65 on a run :D

DIESEL IS THE FUTURE!!!

Yup,

It's Hydrogen.

But MPG is so subjective...worse in the summer aswell.

I'm moderating, Colin, not sinking to owning a vRS! :grumpy:

I still cant understand how Fabby vRS owners can "hammer" their cars and still get 46 MPG. If I am hammering mine, then I can usually be at 30-35 MPG, but maybe my definition of hammering it and yours is different ;)

Yours is still a mere babe in arms compared to some of ours and the more miles the better the mpg gets so it seems.
