woke up this morning to find a very shattered heated mirror hanging from my door, luckily the actual casing is fine, the electrics work fine and its just the actual mirror shattered.

anyone know how much a replacement heated mirror bitty is?? i tried halfords and my local car places who couldn't help me and my local dealer's parts dept was closed by the time i got there

or if u want to mod your mirrors and go m3 style with it then i suggest you buy audi a3 or a4 adaptor plates and angle grind them to fit and the mirrors go on them no problemo.

Have found a neat trick to mirror glass. Its hard to get hold of, some times sign writers/ window tinters have scrap pieces what you need is the really wide sellotape or thick vinyl. Coat the mirror, makes it a lot stronger and less prone to this type of damage.

but that thread was just getting interesting and i totally agree, only one place for M3 mirrors. on a bloody M3, swmbo's brother suggested "a nice pair of M3 mirros, or even the one's with the indicators built in" i very nearly just wept but managed to hold myself together long enough too teach him a lesson

Thank you gentlemen, I am indeed a tight sod but it's nothing to do with owning a SEAT ~ it's simply 'cos us Jocks have a reputation to uphold. :bonk:

And scoff away at my Spanish beast. It's always good to scrap over postions within the VAG hierarchy ~
