Hi, my name is Andrew and i'm from Linlithgow, Scotland.

Guess I better give a bit of background info! I am currently driving a Nissan Primera GT special edition - my first ever jap car.

Going to be giving it to my brother or selling it shortly to make way for hopefully a nice 4x4 Octavia I

Previously I have always had Mk2 Golfs.

Sold off the other mk2, all the parts I had in preparation for a fresh start.

As you can probably tell i like black cars so i'll be looking for a 4x4 octy in black magic!

Great car and an absolute steal at that price but I wont be extending my budget that far either.

I take it the leather Recaros are out of a Mk4 golf? Are they a straight swap? I take it the door cards arent a straight swap so you had to find some in a black/grey cloth?

Interior was black / grey anyway so all the rest is original. Seats were from a Mk 4 as you say a straight swap, they are heated as well but I never got round to wiring them in, Ive got all the switches ready to do it, just never got done

Don't take this the wrong way, but IMO you've just illustrated that over-narrow rims and tyres don't work on a slammed Golf (before roll shots).

Oh yeah and I've rolled a car too. No piccies though; by the time I was able to get back to where it was recovered to it had been sent to the breakers.

I don't have an Octy anymore, sold it to a fellow member last summer.

I've gone over to the darkish side and have a VW Passat new shape and to be honest I love it, think I'll trade it up to another Passat when the time comes but I'll get the 2l TDI Sport in black. It's what I wanted this time but couldn't convince my wife to give me any extra pennies.

I also have a 3 year old (well in June she'll be 3) so meets aren't really on the cards.

Yeah i'd have a VW myself but I can afford the 4motion VW, so the Skoda 4x4 is it!

Cheapest and best way to get a decent 4x4 imo
