I'm the proud owner of a skoda Felicia, but (and not the ones we like) there are several problems that i think might be linked, help me put on this;

1. Gas level gauge fluctuates, while gas is totaly depleted it marks the level a little above the red lines or 1/4, and ofcourse, the low gas warning light never turned on.

2. when car engine get wet it dies, (not funny when driving in the rain)

3. when turning on high beam light, engine rev go down from 900rpm (thats mi idle) to 650rpm

4. while using the fan, it turns off sporadicaly then back on (with no ac on)

5. light switchs feel hot, even at night.

plus i would like a map of the ignition system to rewire, and if posible, the haynes manual to check all the sensor readings. plus, i is giving me 30km/g witch i belive is short by skoda standart (dont drive above 2500rpm)

any help in this matter i would greatly apreciate.

I don't know if all your faults are related, but the first thing I would check is the alternator charge rate. The regulator in the alternator is a common failing and often causes overcharging which leads to all kinds of odd symptoms.

Second thing I would check is the fusebox.....it's common fo the windscreen to leak straight into the fusebox, again causing all kinds of odd electrical symptoms.

Sounds like the voltage regulator to me

i would change it as soon as possible.

Try this before attempting wiring as this can become a major headache if you don't know what you are doing and few people do when they see the number of wires on modern cars!!

If you are getting really poor MPG then i would suspect the temprenture sensor and if you have no reading put on a new thermostat with it as they break in the open position sending readings to ECU detrimental to fuel mix

On (2), I'd suspect the HT leads need replacing. Otherwise I'd suspect the voltage regulator too.

i'm actualy planing on replacing the HT leads, and the Alternator all together, the leak is cured by pressing the rubber ring firmly and adding some correction paint (fendi) plus is DW-40'ed the hell out of everything and added a wopping ammount of amor all (silicone) to the engine

Other thought on 3 and 5. They may be related to each other, but not to the other problems, if the car's not fitted with a headlight relay.

well, i replaced the HT still waitting for the alternator, but now, the car starts, and after a couple of minutes it stop check spark and theres none, also ignition is magnetized (dont know if this is normal, but doubt it) and after removing the battery cables and waitting for a while it starts againg only to stop after like 2min with the same problem...

im suspection some kind of sensor thing or something in the ignition system is ****ed up (pardon my vulgarity)

I would start by checking all the earth points, it sounds as though one has a poor conection and the earth is tracking back via other components

well, i took out the gas sensor and cleaned it and it now reads ok (thought sometimes it fluctuates on high speed) chenge the HT and did maintenaces on the alternator, but one problem that persist is the ignition not giving spark, it seems to be problem with the module or the coil, ony them, also my batery is loosing juice, so im gona check the negative and posible line faults

i solve the spark problem, it was the ignition module, i ran a ground wire from it straight to the battery and it worked great for a while, but then it died, replaced the module and now i have no head ackes with it, but still wen it rains, car stutters and sometimes wont start
