Yeti with TPMS switch ABS Module Coding required

Featured Replies

I have Yeti elegance without TPMS, the ABS module in Yeti is MK60EC1 H31 0108 and the Code with out TPMS is

Address 03: ABS Brakes (J104) Labels: 1K0-907-379-60EC1F.clb

Part No SW: 1K0 907 379 BE HW: 1K0 907 379 BE

Component: ESP MK60EC1 H31 0108

Revision: 00H31001

Shop #: WSC 33361 790 00999

VCID: 76E91EEA7A07

No fault code found.

I need to get the current TPMS enable code for the ABS to see what all need to be change to make the TPMS work and display any fault in teh dash board, I was able to make the change and get the ABS TPMS module working, but that didn't trigger the dashboard TPMS button(not sure if TPMS light is there on the dash or not).

If I change this code to 933F400E092201FAC90B02EB9022808A350000

and do the learning I am able to see the TPMS learning and other detail in measuring block, here are the details

Group Field 1 Data type Field 2 Data type2 Field 3 Data type3 Field 4

16 Tire Pressure Button Not Oper. N/A

230 Tire Pressure calibrated 1111 0

231 Tire Pressure calibrated 5000 0

232 Tire Pressure Monitoring 0 0

233 Tire Pressure Alarm delay 0 0 km

234 Tire Pressure 2 Enabled

This does indicate that it possible to get the TPMS working without switch but would require some more coding rather than just on bit.

Please post you Yeti ABS TPMS module enabled coding.

Thanks,

Pramod

Thanks, this is coding for [17] Instruments, will try and see if this enables the TPMS switch. Would appreciate if you can also post the ABS Coding details. It would help in validating. My ABS coding is for 4x4 with off road package.

BTW, the coding for [17] is only turn on the TPM led

The [03] ABS coding is to ebable TPM function.

In my case, Yeti 1.2 TSI. There are some wire thing have to be done .

I'm still working on.

Yeah, I was aware of ABS bit and have already tested that have posted the test data on first post, TPMS light bit was what I was not able to find. The wiring will need if we go with Set switch for TPMS and then VCDS is not reqiired else for each reset we need to have the VCDS and basic setting 042 group to reset.

Thanks for the information and do keep updated on any further progress, will update the thread once I do my testing.

Ok, tested the TPMS system and it works without switch. Here is what need to be done for Yeti to make the TPMS work.

Change the ABS long coding as mentioned in first post, and change the instrument coding as mentioned in the second post.

Drive the vehicle on highway with on all possible speed for at least an hour, this will make the system learn.

To test deflate any one tyre, make sure you reduce more that 15 % and drive you should get the TPMS indicator on dash board.

To reset go to VCDS ABS MODULE, basic setting and put 042 and go, this will reset the TPMS!! No need to have tpms switch if you have VCDS with you.

Thanks to stzeng for instrument coding.

Thanks for the update! This also corrected the RoW Golf/GTD vehicle I mentioned via email and he had installed the switch, so the cluster coding (Byte 2, Bit 0) was the missing link.

I have turn on tpm on my octavia mk2, 2.0 tdi, 2007y, and it's working, and i have instaled the reset button on dashboard, connect on ABS controler pin35, but the reset button doesn't work, on measured blocks in vag com for this button don't change from not operatin to active when i press the reset button.

Does anybody know what to do that the reset button work.

So If I code this on my Yeti and try to get a switch from a dealer how do I wire the switch to do the reset bit?

Please post you Yeti ABS TPMS module enabled coding.

you can do that via VCDS, no need for hard button in VCDS go to your ABS controller > basic settings > enter 042 in block field > GO > That’s it.

Sorry for bumping an old thread! I just tried to activate TPMS (VCDS 03 ABS) on my ´11 Octavia yesterday - nothing happened. I can see, under "Basic Settings --> 042", that the coding is accepted, and I have performed a reset. Just missing that little light in the dash. So I will try to code 17 Instruments today, and see, if it helps. Did anyone try this mod on a O2 FL?

Instruments coding

Byte 2 if I'm not wrong to activate te Warning light ..

If you can't find it... You probably need to update your vcds ...

Faced the same problem

Maybe my VCDS is outdated, because there´s nothing under byte 2 in the instruments 07. I figured it out anyway; my old coding was 510A00, and the new 510A01. So now it works, and the switch is on it´s way along with my foglights from Skodateile. Great! :-)
